Any improvements with windows 7?

I am currently using vista 64 and will be upgarding to windows 7 64.

Did anyone see any improvements with arma2 when they upgraded?

xp32 was best for me, out of xp32/vista64/win7x64 build7600 - with same spec as you. have u overclocked cpu at all?

I upgraded from Vista Ultimate x64 to 7 Pro x64 RTM.

Perfermance did indeed improve.

I never tried A2 on XP.

I still am certain that for most configurations XP is the winner.

If you have a choice then I suggest 32bit XP, other choices could work out fine, but will seldom give you the same performance.

Of course there could be other considerations about choosing another OS, but IMO if you want to play arma then there is only 1 best choice: XP 32bit.

Ive got same specs as you Barso and it runs great on Win7. Did have to disable hyperthreading because it made it jerky. I recommend the upgrade, make sure you use the latest nvidia drivers too, 191.07 for even more gain.

Answer to your question, Yes great improvements with the upgrade from vista64!

yep I'm on Win 7 ultimate 64. Definately noticeable performance increase between vista and 7.
