Are they made with spawn on ground or in air?? If on ground i hope you put up a lot of AI SAM sites and triple A to defend takeoffs ;-) In the last version we had everything spawned on the ground. The main issue was ArmA2 itself. It came along just at a critical time in the development of the FCSS and kind of changed the rules. ArmA2's engine changes over ArmA1 meant that some things we were relying on just didn't work in the same way anymore. And since we had other things to do a re-write of the system just got pushed further and further back until it was forgotten for a while. Its still on the "I really wish we had this" list but it requires time to rework. Something both UNN have much less of these days. :o Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Re-developed HUD and MFD displays. Pylons are now configurable. You can choose between 1 and 7 pylons. (See Pics below) All national versions are supported by "Plugins" A plugin and texture template will be available at release. But its mostly stuff that isnt readily visible. Once the Typhoon 2 comes out you'll see the difference in the MFDs. This method has crossed over to a lot of other projects. Right now I'm only planning on making some minor upgrades to the Merlin, Puma and Lynx for ArmA2. Visibly it is really only graphical. Improved textures, a new set of normals, RVMATs etc. But some minor model improvements and performance issues have been addressed together with geo tweaks, animations etc. I've already got a new high poly base model in work so I'll split off the ArmA3/modernised AH7/9/9A and Wildcat derivatives from that. But they probably wont make it into ArmA2:CO. At least not publically. The time frame given what I'm looking at with work for next year means its going to be ready just before ArmA3. Which means its just more "practical" to make it especially for the new game. But there will be some upgrade releases for the older models. I was always rather fond of them. "A 2nd class ride is better than a first class walk". I always laughed my ass off when the landies got stuck and the Saxon just pootled through like it was only 2 inches deep. OK so big(ish) edit/update. The Saxon is intended primarily for IAP so more about them at a later date. Typhoon etc. Well 1.60 just kicked us in the balls. Seems its broken a few things that are going to take a bit of work to fix. Or atleast work out if we need to alter our stuff or BIS are going to fix the patch. And since it is the season to be rat arsed and hung over we arent rushing anything right now. (Honestly im barely able to focus on my laptop atm. Which is even stranger since im writing this on my workstation :) ) So bear with us as we try and sort this out and Happy Hangover to one and all. For the Typhoon specifically its the flares and some of the HUD/MFD features are no longer working properly. Im backtracking those now. For other stuff, well the UAV's caught a setback. And some other things ive been tinkering with seem to be behaving oddly too. I've only briefly talked to UNN about all of this so we dont know if its a 'BIS bug' or a "legitimate change" so something we need to find a work around for.
