Approaching factory near Foxhill, town Rockburn ahead with New Skooma far out right:

panthera26_03.jpg

I'm releasing out a vicious creature named Panthera 2.6 for all the loving fans & great community of ArmA 2. These were tough couple of weeks, but I think its worth it :)

I hope you'll like it. I even added a new large desert sector (fictional compared to real data of the "woodlands" part) for all who hate fighting in woods ;) so... no more excuses not to try it out :P

Changelog v2.6:

- removed dependency to Isla Duala

- added new sector: Asabana Desert (South of Fishers Corner)

- 5 new desert towns (Zappada, Cato, Foxhill, Belley and Rockburn)

- added road Koritnica-Fishers Corner

- texture and clutter optimizations

- added civilian spawn markers for Silvie/Alice modules along with AI routes to travel between towns.

- couple of new FOBs (bases)

- smoother roads

I'm sure you'll find new bugs, but the key here is to let me know, okay? :)

I'll be releasing a PVP mission pack soon based on the newly added Asabana desert sector. Stay tuned. In the meanwhile, I wish you a nice stay on Island Panthera 2.6 with or without your team members!

BE ADVISED: use ibr_plants.pbo supplied within, don't use Duala one at the same time (older version) or you'll experience CTD. Latest ibr_plants.pbo have no RPT errors and feature new stuff for Panthera. If you want to use Duala at the same time, overwrite the old ibr_plants.pbo.

Awesome, just great! Latest AAS seems to work as well without any problems in a short test. Thanks IceBreakr, there will be one more AAS-Mission featuring the new area until next week for sure!

please clarify.

I am to copy the IBR_plants.pbo from the panthera addons and overwrite the Isla Duala/addons IBR_Plants.pbo??

I run both islands on a client and a server, and I was experiencing lost connection.

*edit* i did this for my client and server and the 'lost connection' was fixed.

Panthera has no grass now. :(

All I did was put them in my addons folder.

Could I make a mod folder with both Duala and Panthera in it with one ibr_plants.pbo file?

EDIT. Even putting it in a mod folder doesnt work. Theres no grass. What the hell am I doing wrong...?

Isla Duala still has grass though. :/

@Enad

I got the same problem on an earlier version of Panthera, except it was Duala which had no grass for me. I simply ended up disabling Panthera when not in use and activating when I wanted to play a level on it. I think it has something to do with the ibr_plants.pbo.

Yeah same. I had that on the Panthera version right before this.

Maybe I should try seperate mod folders for each island?

I dunno. I didn't think two islands from the same maker would have this many conflicts. :/

Could be good for an ORC series when released :D

Enad: use latest ibr_plants.pbo and make sure you delete the same file in @duala/addons if you use both islands. It should work then.

I'll have to try that out too when I get back. Hope it works, this and Duala are my two favorite maps.

I have one mod folder called @Duala/addons. I previously deleted Panthera because of conflicts.

So the modfolder had just Duala files. I downloaded the newest Panthera and put them in that folder and overwrite the older ibr_plants.pbo.

Now Panthera has no grass, but Isla Duala does. Should this be happening? Am I doing it wrong?

Very nice work, looks great. The new desert is awesome to even just drive and fly low around. Here is my latest AAS map called Rolling Dunes (AAS V1.0) based on your new desert. Enjoy!

Requires: Panthera 2.6 and Little Birds (not ACE, standalone)

I am having the exact same problem Enad is having unfortunately....I have my @Duala folder and my @panthera folder and I delete the ibr_plants.pbo and .bisign as you said from Duala. Yet now, instead of Panthera having grasss, Duala has grass, which makes no sense seeing as Panthera is the one with the pbo in its folder.
