2 questions about MRLS and being a player using them

Hey again...lol

This place is very helpful and I have also been trying to search google and bis forums for what I'm looking for but...

I have a MRLS units at base and have linked them to my arty module, I have added HE rounds to their load out as well..

What I want to know is...

1. How do I set the distance of their firing range?

2. How do I take their standard ammo away (because it blows up in the sky)

- I have already added HE rounds in.

This is my current code for each unit...

this addMagazine "ARTY_12Rnd_227mmHE_M270";

Is there like... this removeMagazine "Arty_standard rounds"; or something like that?

yes, removeMagazine "12Rnd_MLRS" should get rid of the ammo it starts with. not sure what you exactly mean by the first question, but when you're in the gunner seat, the action menu includes the entry "Target Artillery"

Oh ok thank you for that, I was just wanting to decrease the range of the MLRS so noobs can't spam across the map is all lol

Heh that would probably involve making a small addon that changes the thrust of the missiles (shortens it) or otherwise somehow reduces their range. That or some advanced scripting. An easier approach may be to make a script that detects if an MLRS missile enters a certain area and destroys them before they land... none of the solutions would be too easy tho :P
