cri74 10 Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) In July 2009 battle.no hosted its first Arma2 server and by September the servers where running high quality missions and filling themselves with players from all over Europe, the popularity grew and we where able to see a demand for more servers as the two existing servers where filling up and players where left in the lobby waiting eagerly to get into a game on the Tv2 servers. With the success of the two previous servers the Arma2 team at battle.no are proud to present two brand new servers for the game. We hope to see more players on Tv2 servers and wish continue to host great missions and fantastic gameplay for all players. Happy NewYear Edited January 1, 2010 by cri74

Lets hope it gives a little more information about the PvP mord for ArmA. Please have a look and add some comments :) Remember.. we are a open community who invites everyone to take part, its a community by players - for players. cri74 10 Posted March 12, 2011 Battle.no: The whole world as playground - This is the idea behind the new engine called Outerra. It promises seamless rendering, traveling from outer space and way down to the inches of grass anywhere on the planet, travel across the seas, and vast mountains to explore the whole world in this new and innovative engine. Outerra is a small independent game studio based in Slovakia, founded in 2010 and driven by developers with a common interest to create a complete, planetary scale virtual environment for future games and simulations. Battle.no have met the makers and developers at Outerra, and got an exclusive and informative interview. With us today is Brano Kemen. cri74 10 Posted August 7, 2011 Battle.no - launching new web pages. The leadergroup and TV2 wants battle.no to be an innovative and a renewing place to be a member. In the past months you may have seen us seeking new collaborators for our Web Development team. The forums and portal we have become used to over the past years is developed by Borgso and has served us well, but because of practical reasons it is a platform with certain difficulties regarding making new features and upgrades. At the same time our partners are making changes and we saw a good opportunity to upgrade our forums and portal, some work may yet be on the drawing-board, but we are comfortable with taking use of the new forums and wish to invite you to use them. The Web Development team got its new leader in February 2011 and early ideas where presented in meetings between members and leadergroup on TS3. Statistics from January and February show over 20 000 visits to battle.no, where about half was unique visits(28 January 2010 we had 4,840 online), with this as basis it was the right choice to start the work. From that time until now there have been changes at battle.no and new enthusiastic people have joined the battle.no team, we can only see it get better! From February and till today there has been a lot of hard work, ideas and suggestions on how to make this work practically. The group led by L44-Operator have grown and with him is (ksunmn from start) Daxmann and Knutlb, and it looks like even more have announced their interest in helping out - this is a positive development for battle.no. Together with the leadergroup and our contacts they have been building the new forums and its features, and the portal is next in cue. Work being done in battle.no is purely done on voluntary basis, no economic or sales income. We are truly proud of what we can offer gamers on the multiplayer PC-Platform. So, the foundation is now in place so everyone that reads or uses battle.no have a new place to be, with excellent game servers, a new forum and a organization to back it all up. We welcome you all to the new battle.no and look forward to new and better forums and hope you will follow us in the time to come. Here are some pictures of development history(2005 -2011) and a picture of our new forums. What does this mean for me as a registered user of battle.no? Because of practical reasons we have difficulty exporting a memberbase of over 20 000 members, therefore you will need to register a new account. What does this mean for me as a unregistered user of battle.no? As a unregistered user you will be able to read battle.no the same way as before, but you will not be able to create threads or respond to posts. However it will be easier to register with a webmail address (hotmail/gmail/etc) since our new system handles this better. What will happen to the portal? The new portal is still work in progress, as soon as our forums are in tip-top shape the portal will be build from scratch. We urge people with interest to register and help out. When will the old forums close and the new forums be opened? The old forums will be closed the 13. August. It will not be open for new posting, but it will stay open for retrieving info and pictures you may have saved. The web development team will need a few days to save information kept in the old forums. New forums will be launched 15. August and all users will be able to register new accounts. What will happen to information and threads in the old forums? The old forums will be saved in an archive, threads and information will be available over time. What will happen to the game servers? TV2 servers will be in your serverbrowser at your favorite games. We recommend registering at our forums to influence how the servers will look and feel, you will also be able to file reports and complaints as a registered user. New forums, but will there be new features and happenings? Yes. There are many plans and ideas we hope to present in the time to come, but as always we are very dependent on voluntarism and people that want to help out to put ideas and resources to good use. You can do this by being a registered member. The more people that wants to help... the more events and happenings there will be.
