Indeed, thinking about of making something like that. I think that some double layer of a roadway will allows to not to fall over, just like it happends with giantic objects. 

I was searching for it before at ofp-info's section with a pre-built bases. Is there one within OilAddon?

I noticed the FDF mod has been taken off the Nexus because Gamefront is back online, but on Gamefront I was only able to find the 1.4 patch, no sign of the 1.3 installer. Does anyone have it? I am also struggling to find CoC_Arty and CoC_diver. My old hard drive with my years worth of addons shit the bed so I have to rebuild from scratch, and that can be difficult with a game as old as OFP.

For a long time there MRB A3 Voice Stop.

This addon fully disables the AI radio protocols in ArmA 3
Why?
-Coop players don´t need constant chatter.
-Turning down the audio->radio slider will have you miss out on the most fun custom radio messages.
-AI´s act more promptly due to the absence of chatter they need to blurp out before commiting to an action.

There was LessVoice and completely no voice-overs with text messages only (in some mods like VTE oe VBS1).

Hello i am looking for mods/addons like these :

 

- Better NV Goggles (i can hardly see anything with the vanilla ones).

- Better ironsights (doesnt matter if 2d or 3d, i just want to get right of the vanilla black ironsights..).

- Anything about making the AI a bit more realistic, i mean i hate when they can see me/shoot me through bushes, when they don't have vision, etc..i don't know if it is possible but i want that if AI vision is obstructed, they have to move/look for a better place to see and shoot me.

- Better sounds, mainly for the weapons like m16, ak, etc

 

I already tried ww4, ECP but looks like my linux laptop can't handle those and eventually crashes, anyway i am not looking for huge mods with tons of features, i just want to have the vanilla feeling of the game but a bit more "updated?"

WGL is a mod that adds a tiny bit to AI, the shacktac version includes a nvg alteration, has some better sights by default and can use the "AT" replacement optics, and includes better sounds and options for many different skins, and also includes dma (leaning) animations among other things. It may be too much if ww4 and ecp are causing crashes though.

Something that would be more minimalist is using the dma lean mod along with the llaumax sky/nvg and whichever weapons mods (RHS, ORCS, LaSeR, JAM/BAS are good, and maybe Hyakushiki or other units).

Are you using the -nomap parameter? What are your graphical settings regarding distance, shadows, cloudlets, lighting, etc.? What distro are you running and what are your system specs?

Running the game with viewdistance on minimum setting (500m), disabled shadows (both vehicles and objects), In the advanced config, i tried everything there, switched textures to max, min, unchecked all boxes for the lights, reduced all parameters, etc, but issue is still there, always a random crash whenever playing with mod, however looks like it happens when AI attempts to use radio, for example, running Cleansweep mission, im crashing almost as soon as the mission starts because AI normally says something at this very moment, so i guess my issue with those crashes is somehow related to the radio. And yes i tried using -nomap parameter too but no changes.

 

I have deleted everything related to ArmA Cold War Assault on my computer and downloaded and installed again the game from steam and will keep the game addon-free to see if my game crashes even in a vanilla state, but right now everything is working. I noticed that i enabled Hardware Acceleration in audio setting in the game, i think i was not able to activate it last time, it may be related to my issue ? i will continue to play and see if i got those crashes again.

EDIT: just finished the resistance campaign along with most of the single player missions and no crashes with the vanilla game, without any addons/mod installed, so i tried to add only a few addons like the red hammer campaign remastered (with voicerh.pbo) and then game will crash randomly during any missions...

 

All the mods i tried so far (and resulted in a crash) : FDF, ECP, WW4, WGL, Extfx, FFUR '85, FFUR2007, OFrP, Y2K3, SLX, GRAA..

 

So i guess my computer is not able to handle addons or mods somehow..
