Noob at this games mission editor

I was messing with the mission edtior just wondering when i place vehicles no matter how i mess with the settings ai always spawns inside them i want them to be compltely empty how do i do that

First you need to add a character "player"

Next if you add a vehicle use the drop down for faction/side and select empty
