Playing and editing wss file problem

Is it just me but when i convert a wss file to wav from arma 2 ( original sound ) when i play the wav file it doesn't sound right. Take a explosion for exemple all i hear is kind of shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Same for all the others sounds.

using goldwave or windows media.

ok got it working. Formating pc probably did help also.
