US Army 2009 Units

Any plans to create an actual aid bag for the medic? He's got the same little assault pack as all the other bags.

I carry this one, the Blackhawk Stomp Medical Bag:

I've got the ACU one right now, but my shop's making an order for a couple of the coyote tan bags because they'll match multicam or UCP-D better than the ACU.

I guess this isn't something super important, just a minor detail, but I thought I'd mention it. :D

Replacement pack is being updated. I have also fixed the following

- Backpack straps being caught in the shoulders

- The glowing glasses issue

- Fixed some normal mapping issues. Almost all are resolved now.

I've added the following.

- Gloves to some units (AnimalMother's request)

sweet, like new units, although i kinda miss the M4s w/ grip, even if the grip was WAAY outta place

They're almost useless, too. Most soldiers, if they don't grip the heatshields, grip the magazine.

I really regret the fact that you dropped the weapon pack. I also recognized the fact that the handgrip was placed "unlikely", however it was looking good ingame and I am sure you are aware that Christian1987 uses a custom anim for his M4s.

Vertical grips are currently issued and used widely, not all versions are very cute. I have seen pics of Marines using GRIP-POD bi-pod vertical grips on M16s and M4s. These grips are large and look really ugly on an M4, however they are used.

To come to the point:

Good weapon pack, I would recommend to make a seperate addon with these weapons included (just some config work) so everyone is free to choose the prefered version.

By the way I prefered your (or vilas) vertical grip placement since the anim works very smooth while c1987s version looks a bit strange if used on a model with short sleeves.

Pete there is but the best are Avgani and Afghanistan village, you'll need CAA1 then download the ArmA 1 maps and try them out.

Yes there is, grab CAA1 project. Then download Avgani / Afghan village for ArmA1 they work like a charm. The weapon pack will be included in the next release. Vilas just sent me the fixed version and it's ready to go. Just sit tight! Recce, it's weird. We're not supposed to, yet we do? I've seen first hand and seen pictures of us wearing a non subdued flag in the field. It's weird.

Why did you switch back to the M16A2's? The M4 is the standard rifle now, and I very much liked the models you had before.

He did that because of few errors in weapon pack, just wait for new version:
The weapon pack will be included in the next release. Vilas just sent me the fixed version and it's ready to go.

@ the subdued flag issue

The human eye has a really hard time seeing a 1"x1" square at 100 M. Our Flag patches are about 2-3"x1.5ish" that makes this not recognizable past 300 M. The enemy is not going to make it out anyways unless he is up close on you, less than 20m before he realizes what it is. It just really isn't that big of an issue. Especially when ACUs already stand out like a sore thumb.

Maybe a bit offtopic, but as far as I know non-frontline US Army troops still have the M16A2s issued, also I saw several pictures/videos of some Army units equipped with M16A4s. So current weaponry might be good if you want to depict the motor-pool team or the culinar specialists in combat:D

Binkowski, I've been using your Army mod for quite some time now, I freaking love it anytime I can use it I play as the US Army. :yay:

Theres one thing I request from you though, in first person can you increase the resolution of the arm textures and fix the sleeve clipping.

When your in first person the texture is very low resolution and you can't really make out much camoflauge in the texture, but in the third person it looks good.

I have my Texture Settings on Very High, Filtering on Very High and 3D Resolution on 100% on 1280 interface resolution, even at 200% the texture doesnt look any better.

If you could fix these 2 problems this mod would be 100/100. :D

Higher resolution textures for first person but make it so i dont have to be in 200% 3d res because my rig can only run 100% :o

I've also fixed all of the normal mapping issues, I'm not sure if any of you noticed. But there was a sort of shadow where patches usually go, caused by bad normal mapping / laziness :P. Anyway, all these are fixed / added now. I will release an updated version soon.

The Red dot on the aimpoint, and the EOTECH's holo site were very dim. Where you couldn't use them effectively. Vilas fixed that in this version.
