When Topas is involved you know it's quality stuff!

Vilas, you what, you should make a completly civilian addon pack, with vehicles and firefighters/ambulances that kind of stuff!

So far I have made Grazdanska Militsya skins for Chernarus; (Opel Vivaro, Fiat Ducato, Kia Ceed SW) and invented a Chernarussian beer brand ;)

Holy hell that beer van looks amazing :0

I also would like to ask for older cars, so they fit Chernorus. Different GASes, Ladas, Warszawas, Syrenkas, Polonezes (I do realise how it sounds- "Polonezes..."- but I guess it's the proper form. :D

Any chance to see Skoda Octavia 2011-2012 or Skoda Superb??Chernarus dignitaries don't like the Chevy SUV anymore and would welcome something more european.:p

- except new vehicles (Daewoo-FSO Caro, VW Transporter T4, Kia Cee'd SW, Fiat Ducato, Opel Vivaro) there will be fixes to old units:

- config fixes (several bugs were fixed),

- changed interiors, dashboards of some cars (van, car),

- i hope to finally have police lightbars working,

- i hope to find time to do wiki for addon,

Thats great vilas! I love to see that you also built older Unimog versions of the 1960/70's. Are that unimogs vehicles for the Bundeswehr units of the P85 Mod?

Hi Vilas,

just a small question.

Can i add custom loadout for the P'85 T-62 ? I need the APFSDS round from the P'85 T-55 (looks not the same at impact) .

Could you show me how to add it in the initialization line ?

For example : _tank addMagazineTurret ["p85_T55mag_AP", [0,0]]

Is this o.k ? How to add the quantity ?

The problem you're going to face is that the weapon config must explicitly state what magazines it can use. Unless Vilas--for some reason--has the T-62's 2A20 cannon using D-10T rounds, simply giving the T-55 rounds to the T-62 will do nothing. It's like giving a character AK-74 rounds when he has an M4; he'll have those magazines, but he won't be able to use them.

Thanx Xeno. What if i add the D10 cannon to the T-62 in the config ? Is that possible ? Only by permission from master Vilas, of course. :)

You could, but you'd run into problems depending on how you did it. If you did it through scripts, you could have the weapon swapped out as part of the mission (which doesn't require any kind of author permission any more than swapping the weapons out on a soldier). The problem with the script approach is that animations like gun recoil are linked to a specific weapon in the vehicle's config file; you'd have the new weapon, but none of the proper animations would play. The big advantage of this setup, though, is that the change is held in the mission file, so it's easy to disperse to all players connecting to your server and there are no extra mod files anyone needs to download..

The other option would be to write your own mod that has Vilas' mod as a requirement, and have your new sub-mod change the required code lines. This has different issues from the one above. First, distribution is more a problem, since ArmA doesn't have any kind of auto-download system for mods, and making sure everyone using your mission has the mod means encoding the mod requirement into the mission file. Second, you can't use this mod on servers that require signed mod files unless that server has explicitly allowed your mod, which requires you to create a custom bikey for it and compile the mod to produce an associated bisign file. Finally, you will likely have to get the original modder's permission to make such a mod; personally, I don't see a problem with it because you are still requiring the author's original mod files to work, but people get uptight about those kinds of things.

i am working on P85 update at the moment , so i can fix mistakes in weapons too, but also i don't have anything against people doing their own configs to any of my addons , so if anyone wants other config for P85 with other weapons values - no problem, configs are in CPP, they are not binarised, go ahead doing other versions of configs,

but in P85 there is Sabot in T62 and T55, T62 is 115 mm and T55 is 100 mm, so in P85 T55 is weaker and T62 stronger in hit,

Allright, i wont force the T-55/T-62 gun changing 'cause i do not have enough experience to do it. But i want to ask you Vilas, about the Sabots. When firing a Sabot by the T-55, and the target is a M1A1 (for example) , there is no explosion when the it impacts in the side of the turret. But the Sabot fired from the T-62 is exploding at the same target's same impact point. Same target, same distance. What is the difference between the two Sabots ? Can we make the T-62's Sabot not to explode ?
