so far status of update is:

- many textures replaced by new (Topas, newest camo paint)

- old Arma1 Landrovers replaced by new Landrover hardtops,

- maybe new officer models (replacing old suit from Arma1 by real suit model)

- updated models of MSBS and new textures for MSBS,

- new variants of Rosomak

- completly new model of 2S1s howitzers

- W-3 helicopter get blur of rotor (it was missing since years) and i will remodel W-3 helicopter to give it more details,

so far it looks like this:

- i plan Iveco 40 ambulance (work in progress, model 50%, textures 20%)

- better textures for uniforms

- adding uniform mk 2010

but still AI arty is not fixed - few people were looking for solution, maybe there should be in use BI ammo because BIS balistic computer for AI uses only BIS ammo ?

so far I am waiting , soon Topas should be back, so far i just spend time fixing all old bugs such as:

- lack of rear lights on many vehicles (fixed in many vehicles in last days),

- fixing missing muzzle flash issues, i already added muzzle flash proxies to few vechicles, but i found "game bug" - when you put on editor during night some BIS vehicles, you will notice that in the nightime they do not show sign of fire, they are "stealth technology with flash supressed canons" , all BRDM, BTR, Bradley etc. vehicles have missing gun effect in the night (you have that huge buuum in tank, but only in canons and only huuuuge buuum with flash and fire and smoke),

in case of vehicles armed in 20-30 mm canon and coax MG you have ... darkness or only 1-weapon muzzle flash available per 1 turret,

i will probably have to make trick and move muzzle flash to 'main canon' from machineguns (it cannot be like this that 7.62 PKT makes flash in night while 30 mm gun acts like it is stealth gun using not-flashing secret powder)

1 muzzle flash per 1 turret is ugly limit, but i must live with that,

- waiting for arty solution (no hope so far cause there are some problems with AI-support when custom ammo and custom weapons are used), player-activated artillery works perfect, AI-call-support arty doesn't on custom guns (maybe there is something hardcoded and i must use D30 class instead of redefined class and redefined magazines (different capacity),

I doubt you are going to get around this arty problem. I built PRACS for multiplayer usage so the guns work perfectly for a player to use. unfortunately when the AI tries to use the arty it calls some sort of scripted variable for the guns that i was never able to locate. I was told that it was hard coded and there was nothing i could do about it. good luck

ahhh thanks for the info wld427. i have no drama with custom ammo etc for player use, but the ai just don't seem to want to tango with them. I have been working on that issue for awhile.

hmmm back to the drawing board.

Ok, if the situation with artillery is dead-end, then I suggest to do the following:

- WR-40 'Langusta' MLRS - use BM-21 'Grad' BIS weapon/ammo/magazine;

- 2S1 'Gvozdika' SPH - use D-30 BIS weapon/ammo/magazine;

- 'Wilk' fire support vehicle - use US 105mm BIS gun weapon/ammo/magazine;

- add D-30 BIS weapon/ammo/magazine to all other guns/SPHs (:

- make from scratch BM-27 'Uragan' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BM-27_Uragan). I reckon it's the only piece of artillery to which US MLRS BIS weapon/ammo/magazine can be added (nearly common caliber, range and other specs).

- 2S1 - yes, i should

- Wilk - is not arty , it is "canon" on wheels , counterpart of Italian vehicle Centauro or US Stryker variant, it is support-role, it is "light tank on wheels" role, not artillery role,

- Rak is arty - 120 mm mortar

I have been doing experiments using the D30 and m119 as the base weapon and then simply increasing the explosive effect of the round to create a larger caliber effect.

Its buried in one of my many wip p85 config;s ;)

It looks like the last possible option;) Would be good if you revive it:) Otherwise 'Krab' or 2s7 (203 mm) with D-30 munitions - hmmm, sounds bad...

i am still working on update of PL addon (updating old models or old textures, not changing content), i made new helicopter models which has now opening doors (old model had no all windows modeled but lower windows were texture plus it was one-piece without doors as objects), so question is - can anyone tell how to make eventhandler that doors are opening when you enter vehicle ? action (animation) is called "door1_o" "door2_o", door3_o , door4_o

i would like to have such evenhandler, than you have opening doors in moment when you sit inside heli

so basically you want the doors to open and close like a cockpit canopy or just open and stay open when you enter the vehicle?

either way all you need to do is set your animation source as "cockpit" and then write a normal animation for it.

I have this issue with Vilas Bundesheer MG 3 on tripod:

I cannot get in as a gunner, the same with AI units.

createforum domain seems down, i need to find good free of charge reliable forum to hold, so temporary there is no work in progress forum due to malfunction of createforum website

but we work hard on update of PL addon, we have progress, many bugs fixed , new versions of many models and textures, when i will find a good forum website, i will start new work in progress bugs forum

http://vilas.freeforums.net/ now i must rebuild all wiki and topics again, but i made forum (adblock blocks popups so it is adv free with adblock) and i made several themes to choose (laoyut schemes and i will make more customizable schemes , so far olive drab, acu (with velcro of course), Polish camo, multicam, cute pink kitty theme (contains pink hearts and cute kitten) and all black for metalheads) Edited by vilas
