CAA1 public release

CAA1 makes PMC (and maybe some other) units wear balaclavas causing ugly clipping with caps, headgear and stuff =/

Every time i try and run Caa1 i get this message, " 'glt_oac_core_efix' requires addon 'caa1_c_cti_buildings'" what does that mean?

Same here. We must have dl'd the same caa1 7zip file (mega download?). I tried hosting on my ded. server and I get "..oac_core.pbo not signed by a key accepted by this server." The 7zip has two keys: caa1.bikey and GLT_ADDONS.bikey.

One of you posted you can download them from http://tacticalgaming.kiev.ua/mods/x/caa1/addons/

Anyone know exactly which ones are missing? Maybe someone can host an ftp or something where I can upload the full caa1 with nothing missing after because this is gonna be a puzzle for anyone who wants to join.

EDIT: I put in the "p" and "c" building pbos and that took care of the startup error. Still have that oac_core error when trying to join ded. server. The logfile on the ded. server says "Missing addons detected: opxmisc" (Trying to start Sahrani Evolution v0.1d)

EDIT2: n/m I think I found it http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=82321 there is a package by Opteryx I need for Evo. I'll Update what I find.

EDIT3: OK all is working except verifying the oac_core sig. So I turned verifysig off just to play it and Sahrani Evo v0.1d works. I'm gonna just play through it once and throw everything in the trash.

If you dl'd the big 7z and get the "buildings" error then all you need are the "p" and "c" buildings files from http://tacticalgaming.kiev.ua/mods/x/caa1/addons/. If you want to play the Evo v0.1d you need ONLY two files from the opxmisc folder, throw them in the @caa1\addons folder. That can be dl'ed from http://armed-assault.de/downloads/avgani-15--afghan-village-10-fixed.html

opxmisc is not caa1 it is from the Avgani Iraq & Afghan Village

I have Caa1 on my gameserver, and my buddy and I are currently playing Domination, cough... edited ;)

which requires Caa1, and its a real blast, we also have Evolution Blue also edited.

I apologize for the bump, but I have been unable to find a CAA1 download with the autumn plants since reinstalling my game (and wanting to reacquire custom content as well). I searched this thread, and the internet, and did not find them. I only found posts regarding avoiding use of the autumn plants.

sorry for shameless bump, but where the heck was that pmc unit fix i cant find it no more?

i mean the one that fixes the pmc units wearing black masks.

However, we encounter a problem when we play about 1h-1h30 server crash without notifying us, there is no chain of red and we can move but the other players are fixed and the IA.

Do you have a solution for this problem?

Obviously if other players and AI don't move it means the server crashed (or is heavily lagging). Not sure why you're not getting a red chain though.

Anyway, I'm almost positive CAA1 was reported to be incompatible with ACE for OA/CO?

I thought that fix only actually worked for vanilla A2+ACE, and not OA? Or did I misunderstand?

Does anyone know besides having CAA1 one installed what do i need further to play Arma 1 campaigns with CAA1 and Arma 2?

You need missions to be converted to use Arma 2 units, since most Arma 1 units don't work in Arma 2 without a lot of porting work and thus are not included in CAA1 afaik.

Right, thanks galzohar. I hope that for Arma 3 all the Armaverse will be modded. It's a huge work, but would love to see it.

I downloaded this from Armaholic, is there nowhere to download the necessary resources?

I'm not sure how this is is spam, this is obviously a problem if random newbies to CAA1 are trying to get it running and cannot because the download for it is missing files.

There's literally no other recourse as trying to PM somebody who has likely abandoned or has no interest in keeping the project going isn't going to help.

By posting here on this thread there's a far greater likelihood that somebody more knowledgable might be able to offer some input that will help newcomers to CAA1 in getting it running properly.

We play a lot of converted Arma1 to CAA1 missions on our server. You could try downloading it from us. We have the entire @CAA1 and @OAC addons in our Six Updater custom repo here:
