I had the same problem but all it was was to change the crysis64.exe back to Arma2.exe and it worked.

Just found it but its under IDEA Games not Bohemia Interactive. Dont know if that has any influence on the patch installation but its clear the setup utility doesnt find ArmA2.

hey i have this problem.

========================================FIX patch arma2============================================

I learned that Sprocketidea does not create a registry file when you install the game. So here is what you need to do.

- Go to "start" and then select "run"

- Enter "Regedit"

- Browse the options until you find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" and double click on it, then look for "SOFTWARE", then look for the "Bohemia Interactive Studio" file and double click on it. Finally, click on the Arma 2 folder.

- Check to see if you have "MAIN" in your registry. If you don't have "MAIN" in there, you will need to create it.

- Look at the top of the window where is says "Edit" and click on it. You will then want to look for "NEW" and it should pop open another window. You then want to click on "String Value".

- Once you have click on "String Value", you will see that you can make a string. Type in "MAIN" as the file name and then just click on the white area to save it.

- Now you will want to right click "MAIN" and click on "MODIFY". Under value, enter the location where you installed Arma 2. For an example:

C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2

Or

C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2

That solution did not work. I have searched the "Bohemia Interactive Studio" file inside the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder to no avail. It is actually inside the Wow6432Node folder.

What files do you have inside the ArmA2 folder? Just the string value "MAIN"? Or does it contain a "KEY" file as well?

Cheers

Issue resolved. Followed the solution posted above but with some deviations.

- Go to "start" and then select "run"

- Enter "Regedit"

- Browse the options until you find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" and double click on it, then look for "SOFTWARE", then look for the Wow6432Nod folder and inside you should find two similar folder:

1."Bohemia Interactive" folder - ignore this one, I have actually deleted but did not test another patch to check it makes any diference.

2."Bohemia Interactive Studio" folder - double click on it. Finally, click on the Arma 2 folder.

- Inside the "ArmA 2" folder you should find two files. One is named "Default" and is present in every registry. Ignore. Then you should see a file named Key. Ignore. Check if there's a file named "MAIN". If you don't have a "MAIN" file, you will need to create it.

NOTE: I uninstalled the game and installed it again but in a different directory before I applied this solution. I also deleted every ArmA 2 registry possible.

Hope it helps
