Hello everyone,

I'm new to these forums, but I played Operation Flashpoint for some time now. After Cold War Crisis I bought the GOTY edition just to get it their with me forever!:D Now I bought ArmA 2 and I got it like 2 weeks now, what frustrates me is that my OFP GOTY edition discs are just looking bad. CD/DVD's are crap if you ask me, but I can live with them.

I just wanted to ask if there is a way you guys patch the game so DVD files will run from the hard drive so my game discs wont go down on me someday.:butbut:

Hope you'll guys get the performance up, ArmA 2 is a simulator from heaven.. keep up the good work.:icon_exclaim:

Made a poll to see who thinks the same way!

RavoC.

Sooner or later there will be an official no-DVD patch coming with a patch. Has been like this with OFP and ArmA1. Until then we have to live with the disc in drive.

You could make an image of the original disc and mount it in a virtual dvd drive. So you don't have to keep the disc really in the drive.

Depends on the virtual drive software and the Securom version with a little bit of luck. I used to do the same thing until I finally ran into a game that didn't let me do it. Still, worth a shot for those that have the drive space but don't want to use a drive with the disc in it.
