Was there going to be a Day 1 patch for Operation Arrowhead? It would seem the hardcopy of the game would already be outdated upon release?

I can run ArmA II perfectly at Very High settings at 1920x1200, it will easily go well over 60FPS and even average that but I fire up OA and it runs like complete ass, micro-stuttering all over the place, fairly low FPS that goes up and down like a rollercoaster and textures popping from hell :|

Performance is fine with download version - even Zargabad runs well, and new PP options seem much more efficient. Those new shaders are lovely.

Having it in English by default: priceless... .

Why does the SCAR Silenced and unsilenced sound EXACTLY the same?

EDIT: And some of the silenced versions are silenced

Voices are much better. Great little feature that you can't use normal scopes in conjunction with NV. I like the new dark-coloured border on the weapon cursor, but some people will hate that others have it.

Seriously, just walking into those tiny little town areas next to the road makes my FPS drop when I get better FPS in the massive towns in Chernarus. I have to agree about the vegetation it looks horrible. Reminds me of OFP:DR

No.

Have you got on, yet?

All of the servers were set on private or another game version, but I could join matches hosted by other players.

Only single thing I don't like about system performance is that our old friends the ATI artifacts are back, and this time they've brought their husbands, wives, kids, dog and cat... .

Anyone else have an issue where the OA will not save your video/audio options?

I have exactly the same problem, hope some new drivers and patch will solve this soon. :)

Just sp only, verified it when it when live with the cd/serial supplied via email confirmation. Just sent a email to Idea, there probably all asleep though 8)

On a good note I got a 5 to 10 fps(just in the sp side of things) over Chenarus. Will fiddle around with it again could me just havin noobness syndrome, like i sometimes have everytime BIS releases somthing 8)-

Jpinard, check you arma2oa.cfg file to make sure it's not read only, and check your drives permissions to make sure you can write to it.

So far from what I've seen : -

-English voice acting is still pretty bad (not as bad as previous iterations)

-z-fighting and texture popping are still there, but much less than in ArmA 2

-Still get stuck on walls some times when trying to turn around in a tight building space (body collision with wall prevents turning)

Other than those things the game is quite stunning. FPS are much better than ArmA 2, with the only FPS issue being that on initial load of a mission the game can run a little slow while it keeps loading while playing, but that clears up after a few minutes. Mind you I've only tested on a 32bit OS so may not be evident on a 64bit os with 4GB+ RAM with LAA now active.

It's there too on 64 bit. Are you guys keeping your A2 settings or are u doin a new test an resetting with/without benchmarking?

Mk17 CCO SD seems to have the unsilenced sound... others seem ok...

I've created an optimization & comparison thread here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=101124

So far if I load up old missions with the new OA exectuable performance appears worse but I strongly believe it's because we're not comparing apples to apples. If I can get some feedback from userd and BI that'd be great.

My game keeps crashing after some minutes with the error message "ArmA2OA.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". :( I don't understand, ArmA2 runs fine, and even with the administrator rights it crashes every time.
