joining online problem [solved]

i tryed 2 join a couple of servers and it said bad version,server conection refused, what does this mean

also the servers had a red cross next to them instead of a green/amber circle, what do these icons mean?

edit:

ok dont matter its cos of the 1.03patch so i dont have same version

that means either you have the wrong patch version or the server does
