OK for people that think this is a bug,it's not

Recommended Posts

RIGHT, FOR THOSES THAT ARE GETTING SHOT OUT OF NOWHERE FOR NO REASON, THIS is not a bug, its a design decision to STOP you going and doing whatever you want in a campaign mission. In Manhatton when you are escaping the island you may experience DYING without any reason behind it or anybody around. YOU MAY even think its a bug, you may even think(like i did) the NAPA guys were shooting you for no reason when you are trying to get back to the carrier ship to escape. This is NOT the case.

IF YOU Stray away from Your mission or go where the game designers dont want you to go, then you get shot by invisible enemies, its not a bug. Its part of the game. YES, that also meens that the campaign is linear and NOT as sandbox as we all thought. YOU will die trying to do missions anyway you like from invisible enemies. Another tip only use helicopter if absolute necessary and drive around to do missions, dont fly there. Iv ehad to learn all these things the hardway however if you do it this way you will be less frustrated with the campaign mode, understanding its flaws.

I dont like the way this is done, i think they should of had calls from the sgt.'s or someone higher up telling you Not to go to certain areas or enemies will shoot you out of nowhere, just to avoid this confusion. BIS havent done it that way. We all had to figure it out for ourselves.

So the moral of this story is if your getting shot out of nowhere it meens YOU are NOT on the right path for your mission and you have to go another way.

To solve the Manhatton mission issue( once you get back to the FOB Manhatton base) after your mate spencer dies. Bring up your communication menu and get the helicopter to come get you, but dont just call the copter, go somewhere a little safer than on the top of the hill like just behind the peak of the hill at FOB so the copter doesnt get shot down. That erradicates all the invisable enemy stuff. If you do it another way like drive for miles, you must find the CORRECT way of approach that doesnt get you shot and killed out of nowhere from an invisable enemy, however this method is trial and error.(Sad but true) .

Another tip in the campaign is FOLLOW the markers and missions step by step dont just do what you want (thats actually more realistic than you may think if a real soldier went off and did what he wanted hed be on breakfast duty for a month so FOLLOW your missions one by one, step by step), i dont recommend playing your first campaign through on Expert difficulty. I recommend you do it on regular first so you can use the markers to get to your destinations, then, once you complete the entire game on regular, THEN, go do it on expert. Doing it on expert first will probably be more problematic for you.

Oh yeah, one other thing, Enjoy the process of learning the buttons of controlling your soldiers. If your soldiers arent moving when you tell them too. push space bar, then 7 then safe mode, then space again then 7 button and stand up. After that dont regroup. Tell them, to move somewhere THEN push regroup after they have moved. Just incase your having trouble. I found that this method if soldiers arent doing what they are told, can sometimes help soldiers to wake the hell up and move when you tell them too. Start getting use to the SPACE bar and the 7 button. Because your soldiers may still be in danger mode or some other mode automatically.

Also try the editor mode for your soldier ordering training. :):):):) just some tips:) Just you, the wonderful landscape at Utes and your soldiers. Build some cows, some chickens, maybe even a small quick mission ,seige area or something. It helps in the heat of battle in campaign to know your buttons a bit better.
