Its a rave Dave 10 Posted August 1, 2009 How to model for Arma 2? Are we still using o2? or are we waiting for a new program to be released? Im not new to Opflash/Arma ive just been out of the loop for a long long time :(
DaSquade 0 Posted August 1, 2009 Nothing new...every thing remains the same as in O2/arma1. So atm you still need to use the arma1 tools. The only new thing is the fact you best use the arma2 bulldozer because if you plan to use the new arma2 supershaders, you are able to view/render the new shaders in the arma2 bulldozer. Not sure if the 'how to' of setting up the new shaders is a public secret... Anyway, all is possible with the old tools (except binarizing of rvmat afaik). But that shouldn't make people hold off releases...
Its a rave Dave 10 Posted August 1, 2009 Great, do I still need to set up o2 like Brssebs tutorials? or does it do it itself now? Ive downloaded the Bi_tools off the wiki and ill start getting back into making stuff, been years since I touched o2

Cornish Rebel 0 Posted August 13, 2009 I know next to nothing how to model, lol But how easy would it be to put this into arma2??? http://gunpoint-3d.com/model-Chall2.html
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted August 13, 2009 I know next to nothing how to model, lolBut how easy would it be to put this into arma2??? http://gunpoint-3d.com/model-Chall2.html Difficult. You'd have to shed about 240,000 of the 265,350 polygons for the first LOD. 25,000 is the guideline limit for ArmA addons. 200,000-odd is WAY too many; I'm not even sure O2 would load the model.
