hotel 10 Posted July 22, 2009 In the game is there a way to turn off the speech from the AI? The acting is so terrible it takes away from the immersive feel and the repetitive manner in which they use each line is damn awful.
bangtail 0 Posted July 22, 2009 Same here. I would rather have no voice "acting". It is atrociously bad.
private plowjoy 0 Posted July 22, 2009 Can't help but agree. It does sound like they got the tea-boy to do some of the lines. Truly awful.
Dreossk 10 Posted July 22, 2009 There is also a problem with voice radio. It seems like a robot is talking. "Enemy...sniper...left...flank...fifty...meters." So they recorded each word separately? Most of the voice we hear in radio could have been recorded in a single sentence instead.

It allows them to generate a massive amount of radio, sadly at the expense of it sounding like a failing robot....
Dreossk 10 Posted July 22, 2009 (edited) I have yet to hear that massive amount of radio... Edited July 22, 2009 by Dreossk
mrcash2009 0 Posted July 22, 2009 Imagine all the sentences and audio clips needed to cover all the variables of each .. and ... every ... word and thats also for x amount of voice actors (that you can select for your profile), it would be a huge task and a lot of data/space for audio. Yes its robotic but I can see exactly why this was done. If you dont like it so much (im just referring to team chatter/radio) then goto the addons complete section and there is a mod that silences most of the radio. I see your point and I can live with the generic stuff being awful but there is no excuse for the painful atrocity that is the voice acting that pertains directly to the campaign story. It absolutely KILLS the immersion and it does it regularly. When the guy on the roof in talks about the "Thai hooker's thighs", more often than not, I shoot him in the head as his little monologue makes me want to drop kick my PC out the window. It's cringe-worthy. Eth
