MPBR 10 Posted July 27, 2009 Not everybody likes playing in multiplayer though, i much prefer the single player in ArmA 2! Ive given up on the campaign for now, but I cant get enough of some of the awesome single player missions that have been released by the community!I spent roughly 2 years playing online games when I finally afforded a decent PC to run them on a few years back, but got tired of the trolls, hackers, cheats, abusive kids & snotty servers & have gone back to preferring single player games now If your playing a vs FPS then yes, the above can get annoying (thou its not that hard to find compititve leauges where that does not happen). But its not as bad for A2 when you are doing squad /clan based co-op missions. grab 20 mates / squadies and a new custom mission, get a squad leader that allocates sub teams with objectives and have one of the most immersive 1-2 hours in a milsim you can. Moving from cover to cover and covering your mates as you all head to the objective, watching other teams approach from other directions or providing overwatch. Calling in mates in air support once AA has been taken out and see the death they can deliver if there is 2 much armor etc. I love the editor and making missions, but A2 online co-op with a tight group of friends or squaddies really really is a different game again. apoc_reg 10 Posted July 27, 2009 Im just messing about in the editor until they fix it. Well i would do but i dont feel until i play through the campaign i dont feel comfortable going online. I have had to restart the same mission four times now with a total play time of about 3-4 hours which is making it a bit of a chore. (save game problems, pilot (!) problems etc) Absolutely love it when it comes together though so im keeping the faith! Im guessing online is pretty hardcore/experienced players? I might give it a try anyway.
Alex72 1 Posted July 27, 2009 Waiting with it for now. ARMA2 is so much bigger than its campaign. Will be nice to play it later on though.
no use for a name 0 Posted July 27, 2009 I actually had zero problems with the campaign all the way until Dogs of War mission, in which I get the bug at the start that doesn't trigger dialogue and my men don't move. Other than that though everything has played out flawlessly
NeMeSiS 11 Posted July 27, 2009 I actually had zero problems with the campaign all the way until Dogs of War mission, in which I get the bug at the start that doesn't trigger dialogue and my men don't move. Other than that though everything has played out flawlessly Thats more or less my experience with the campaign as well. I also remember a bug in one of the first missions where i couldnt move anymore after talking to a civilian. Though i havent completely finished it yet (Had too much fun with the editor), i absolutely loved what ive seen so far. I guess we are just lucky

nettrucker 142 Posted July 27, 2009 Hi same goes for me. I haven't touched the campaign yet. I will as soon as the bugs get ironed out. Played some of the single scenarios which were quite good. Moreover I had some awesome multiplayer battles On Charlie Foxtrot server. It was a blast. PvP is something I haven't experienced so far. I really loved it. On Cfarma2 600 people signed up 120 slots at disposal. Anyway when not playing online I'm experimenting with the editor unless the campaign gets fixed. regards nettrucker
CrazyAviator 10 Posted July 27, 2009 I enjoy Razor 2 so far, I havent finished but so far the mission seems to be more of a sandbox campaign, which is what I thought the game was going to be like in the first place. I agree the cinamatics and voice acting is painful to endure, and most of the time I cant even tell whos talking. If all the missions where set up as sandbox, say after an introductory training mission, I would be happy
