sic-disaster 311 Posted August 28, 2009 It is a sad thing that arma2 might be the last game that belongs to this trade of gaming and it still has a tons of problems and not quite suitable as what rainbow six did; swat 3 and 4 is good, but it still missed something that RS hasdamn, this thread really makes me wanted to dig out the rs:rs disk and install it(my rs3 disk and the datadisk is missing, and i couldnt find anywhere to buy another one) Raven Shield and Athena Sword can be bought on STEAM for 5 bucks in a pack :) I still prefer Rogue Spear over Raven Shield though, even though Raven Shield was a good sequel i enjoy the combat (especially in terms of precision) a lot better in Rogue Spear. Some modders found a workaround to get their content in, but then Ubi immediately responded with a patch to get rid of the mods. I haven't bought an Ubisoft game since... dunedain 48 Posted August 30, 2009 (edited) You can download IW for free on Fileplanet, anyway, you can't anymore play Iron Wrath online since Ubisoft removed the server supposed to check your serial key for this one... Still that IW is really good, equivalent to Athena Sword in content, it worths its 1GB to download. ;) I played Rs and As weeks ago, it works well and I've done some good coop with very nice dudes, few but good quality players still there. :) About mods at least two good projects aren't dead yet, R6 Complete Edition and Ordnance Project. dunedain 48 Posted August 31, 2009 (edited) [...]they dont want anyone to know how good the franchise really was :p I daresay that must be the sad truth behind all this.. :mad: See the 8 years old Ghost Recon, which you can get for 10€ with its two expansion pack, that have its huge community addon compilation Heroes Unleashed which makes it even now a much better tactical shooter than those consolish casual sequels Ubisoft's released. :aa: I can't see any other reason why they'ld threaten those guys truying to give Raven Shield a second life. SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted September 3, 2009 Capture the Enemy, which came with AthenaSword expansion, was a blast to play.....but damned if they could ever get it to play stable. This one has a stealth mission where i need to go unheard through a town filled with tango's to get to a churchtower from where my sniper has a clear shot to a bus with hostages.
