GuyKorn 0 Posted March 14, 2002 BIS should make it able to pick up dead bodys or wounded people and take them to a ambulance or a helicopter to evacuate the dead or wounded. it would make battle more realilistic and more fun.
Chan 1 Posted March 14, 2002 Remember, in OFP when you are wounded you are able to walk with decreased accuracy, bloody leg crawl, or both. Seriously, what would you do with the wounded carrying them around the battlefield? And second of all, Why would any player want to carry the wounded when there is a squad of Soviet soldiers wanting to but a bullet in your brain? This is only a game, and it is designed to be fun, not to be frustrating..

The thing is, the medic isnt a bad idea, but people simply die to much. 9/10 times in a firefight (when you die and not the enemy), you die. You could care less if there was a medic around that one time, it happens rarely. The only way the medic would be really usefull is if they make more serious wounds, possible hurting while having a wound (not much though, you probably have to run a while to get to a medic). kegetys 2 Posted March 14, 2002 What I think should be added, is that when a medic heals a injured person, he would get points to the multiplayer "fragtable". The medic has very limited weapon carry capability, so he cannot kill as much as others can, and medics are supposed to stay a bit behind others to avoid getting killed... So if you play as medic you are going to get alot less points than the other guys, even though you could be very much needed. If medics would get points from every heal they do, it would make playing as a medic more rewarding.
Guest Scooby Posted March 14, 2002 Whole damage modelling in OFP should be heavily redone. From vehicles to soldiers.
Intruder 0 Posted March 14, 2002 Scooby, is it just me or are your posts negative
PHY_Hawkeye 0 Posted March 14, 2002 What about implimenting a system in multiplayer like that of DF:LW; whereby when someone is baddly wounded the medic has a certain amount of time to start working on him before he dies. The time could vary depending on how bad the wound is. I think this would add a real nice twist to co-ops.
Guest Scooby Posted March 14, 2002 They are. I dont even bother giving any suggestions how BIS could change things in OFP because they wont do it anyways because some suggestions are too hard to implement and because most of the people are idiots who have no sense what kind of changes would actually make game more realistic. Would only waste my time writing same things over and over again. It seems to be so that only people who have done military service realise how things should work.
