JohnyFrosty 10 Posted July 10, 2009 hmmm, did you try to zoom in (default right mouse button) or use scoped rifle? And of course, if you are out in the open, and enemy is behind tree or house, they see you easily, without you seeing them. Enemy sniper can also see you pretty soon. The AI is not easy to beat and most of the players you play against on line have been playing against it and each other for years. Add to that the large percentage of serving and former soldiers you are playing against. And all those other FPS games you ever played Negatively Trained you. Everything they taught was wrong. We all went through this. In my case almost a decade ago in BIS's OFP demo. Play a lot of SP and learn to beat the AI. it is good training. First lesson Crawl. Under fire: Crawl Moving to contact: Crawl Suspect contact: Crawl etc. This wll help; it is the ArmA bible http://ttp2.dslyecxi.com/ Read, Absorb, Employ. You are going to die and you are going to die a lot, but you will learn and one one day what you thought impossible will come as easy as breathing. Eclipse4349 1 Posted July 10, 2009 This is definitely not an impatient person's game, kinda like real battle. Running around like a cokehead on a bender will get you shot quickly, as will standing or moving in the open, or silhouetting yourself against the horizon bc you are running over the top of a hill instead of crawling through heavy cover as you crest the hill, or etc etc etc. However, real infantry maneuvers work very nicely. Which is why all my other FPS games are now collecting dust. The link in Walker's reply is a gold mine for tactics and movement methods. Good luck, have fun with it, and see you on the battlefield!
