Hornet108 10 Posted July 8, 2009 Hi everyone Im playing the first high-command mission where I get 4 squads plus the razor team. Now i have created the base and thats fine, and I can add units etc to my own squad, but how do I assign units I have created to other squads? I have taken some losses so far taking some of the towns and wish to reinforce myself. For the life of me, I havent been able to get it to work ingame, I thought if I selected my units then went communications->give unit it would allow me to transfer, but no. Or alternatively, is there a way to create new squads? Thanks Hornet.
frederf 0 Posted July 8, 2009 Nope, not without scripts which the mission doesn't have.
Hornet108 10 Posted July 9, 2009 How very annoying and disappointing. That really holds this game back. There I was thinking it was a FPRTS when it really isnt. What then is the point of the base outside of reinforcing your own squad?
frederf 0 Posted July 9, 2009 Most likely in singleplayer you will have to purchase units for your own squad (max13) and complete the mission in that way. I believe (not tested) that if you're playing 4-player coop then each player will get a squad and you can reinforce, give units, give money, plus all those other features that just plain don't work in single player. richardg 10 Posted July 10, 2009 It would be much better to be able to command 13 AI squads via the high command interface. THAT would make for some awesome battles. One of the default warfare (or superpowers/civilwar) missions is set up with I think 8 AI squads under high command. But they automaticly purchase their own vehicle/troops, no real control over the force composition, which is what commanding is all about. (I dont need another 5 UAZs damnit, I need 5 full assault squads to clear the next town)
Bulldogs 10 Posted July 10, 2009 You can reinforce squads in the next high command mission by buying units and sending them to a squad, it just doesn't work in the first mission. Still, it's an awkward way to do it and would be better if it was easier.
