Will it be required by missions that were made using objects from the EU?

Ot is it the smart kind of EU like sixthsense´ was in ArmA1?

It is required for the mission as it is adding new classes. The 6th EU was just unhiding classes that were already there.

Well that's bad work of Mapfact, sorry to say that. It's starting with error messages:

arma22009070421340820.th.jpg

arma22009070421341464.th.jpg

+ numerous errors in the ArmA2.rpt

http://arma.pastebin.com/m16f1e200

and those display names are of no use for a mission maker. Please take the time and translate them to a proper english or german using stringtables.

arma22009070421342334.th.jpg

That's not mapfact quality. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me.

Legis, i'm sorry but can't second that. Downloaded it from armaholic mirror and got no errors at all. Turn on your ICQ mate. ;)

I don't get any of those errors either. Works perfectly fine. However, the names are indeed a bit off.

What version (Steam, 505, Morph, ...) do you use?

I know that Legislator has the german Morphicon version on DVD and i know also he's using latest patch (1.02 incl. hotfix).

But i have a guess why he get's these errors and i hardly guess it isn't related to this addon. Sadly he hadn't his ICQ on since i've read his post.

Ok, thanks. It should work with that version.

Ermm... does this mean you guess it is related to the addon or it is not related to it?

Sorry about the model names, as written our goal is to make clear localized names, but before we can do this we need one ArmA2 version for all languages.

My thought was that many people would use it also in this state in the mean time without an extra waiting time. ;)

But i have to say that some things doesn't find their way in the Readme. :butbut:

In the Subcategory Ruins the 'H' and 'R' types got an little extra information:

The letter stands for the grade of cover that ruins gives (overall)

tiny

small

medium

large

xtralarge

And the following ##x## value describes the X and Y edge length of the ruin.

if i make a mission with these do all players need this addon or is it player side only

If the editorupgrade has been used to create the mission it is required for every player. Player sides doesn't matter at all because the objects don't belong to any side, well empty.

The server needs the addon as well.

Yes, they are in here, but the first line of the featurelist got lost in copying.

I've enhanced our Mapfact news for that point :

Plants - Grass, Bushes and Trees

Jepp, found the vegetation alright but couldn't find any street lights etc.? Are they in there in 1.00 or will they (hopefully) be added in a future update?

Thanks again guys!

Great work mapfacts but if I read the readme right missions made with the editor upgrade. That the connecting players will also need the editor update?

If so a little hard to get players to get the addon especially when its hard enough to get a game going atm.

I thought it just unlocks them in the editor as ive made maps with Jon_Editorupdate and players dont need that to play?

No, all players as well as the server needs this addon to work, as noted already in this thread. This addon is adding new classes and not only unhiding hidden ones.
