The buildings could use some work..

Recommended Posts

I like the idea that we can damage buildings now, but I noticed the other day when I tried to shoot someone through a window, it cracked all of the windows in the entire building. I assume it does this because the buildings are all 1 model and you would need to model a pane of glass to have them individually break. Still something I noticed though.

Likely a bug of some sort and not intentional... and incidentally what happened to the 'lit windows' for the cities at night?

Yeah what did happen to em? Maybe they are turned on though by mission editor. Dont remember.

Well I've been playing around trying to find it, thought it might be something to do with time of day or modules, but no dice. Could be game logics but I don't know how they work.

IMHO it's a pity that most buildings aren't enterable. From a gameplay-perspective it probably doesn't matter that much (though...), but for (sp-)mission-making it was (ofp) always good to be able to place people inside. Be it for camscripts/cutscenes, or to hide some civilians or whatever.

Is it just me or are there actually less enterable buildings in towns and cities as there had been in OFP or ArmA?

Very poor, in my opinion. Most enterable Biuldings are the old, revamped ones from OFP and ArmA.

ArmA had less different buildings didnt it? This has more so thanks to the diversity it feels like less buildings to enter. And even is in some villages etc i presume. Not sure though. But ArmA felt more repetitive building wise so repeat the same 2-3 enterable buildings will just make it feel more.

Could use more though. Not saying that. Also seems BIS forgot that spaces are still hard to turn around in. Most places you can walk into and then not turn around. You have to back out. Bit bad tbh.
