kklownboy 43 Posted August 7, 2009 ok hold on! @Trocan; AA is working fine. I can "break" AA only if i have it enabled in my ATI CCC. IT has to be set to "use application setting". Or the in game AA is borked. This is absolutly not a ARMA2 issue. Its user error. ---------- Post added at 07:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:08 PM ---------- The AA is not applied properly...i think i can confirm that. AA is what it is with this light engine. Its working and it works well. If and when they can apply SSAO or even SSDO ect that will be even better...
Gill.. 10 Posted August 7, 2009 Definitely user error.... first post here....thanks for having me guys. Just bought this last week...LOVE it, very impressed. Phenom 940 BE @3.6 watercooled.. 4GB OCZ @1066 ATI HIS 1 GB 4870 running usually at 815 core 975 stable memory for this game No issues whatsoever after tweaking for a few days. In fact, I'll be posting some sick HD videos online. Resolution = 1900 by 1200, very high everything with 5000 visibility! BLAMMO Oh, except post process - which is low (wish more options to tweak there) Only 1 physical 4870 with 1 GB - and it runs butter smooth - even with FRAPS running on my quad.... I would Crossfire given the opportunity. I'll need to see how this plays out in multiplayer before I speak too much though. great game so far BI... keep up the dev........ flake 10 Posted August 7, 2009 BLAMMO...low is the best place for post processing: some light blooming and no blur. sadly my game only runs cream cheese smooth
Dwarden 1124 Posted August 7, 2009 (edited) remember you can try use HDRPrecision=16 and HDRPrecision=32 in arma2.cfg this may produce better results with the HDR+AA with cost on performance side default is HDRPrecision=8; also FSSA as 8 ? how did it get there it should be Disabled (0), Low (1), Normal (2), High (3) in arma2.cfg Edited August 7, 2009 by Dwarden

kklownboy 43 Posted August 7, 2009 so does it helped with the HDR change ? Its better than 8hdr, but is it much different than 16... its more frames used, and seems to be clearer/sharper in some areas... what is different (was in 1.02) is the hazey light at dusk/dawn, it is much better. It could be subjective.. i run 32hdr because i have a kit that can.
