ArmA II SLI Flickering Issue

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm having an Issue with the ArmA II demo, almost identical to what ArmA I used to do previous to my current forceware drivers.

Here is the way that my settings are currently configured. I have tried changing most of them but to no avail except disabling SLI, yet again like ArmA I.

You can try the trick to fool the NVIDIA GPU driver with renaming the arma2.exe into crysis.exe (it recognize crysis.exe has been started instead of arrma2.exe) wich doesn´t provide a SLI profile for arma2.exe yet - with the rename trick the driver will use the crysis SLI profile for the ArmA2 game if SLI is enabled.

Thanks a lot mate. Changing the name to Crysis.exe seems to have remedied the problem, still some other issues but its playable now. :bounce3:

Also try the EVGA SLI Enhancement fix which my friend used today without any issues... SLI seemed to increase fps by about 50% which is good.

Solution / Fix

I had the same problem with the flikering menu. Looks like lightning.

This seems to be caused by Vsync when in SLI or X-fire.

1. Use CCC or Nvidia to force off Vsync.

or

2. Disable Cat AI - using CCC

Not sure about this setting under nvidia but it should work with ATI cards.

This will force the game to run on a single GPU core. Sounds like a performance hit but it actually improves performance.

I recommend using the Vsync off solution as this will alow for multiple GPU cores and stops the flickering. Hope this helps
