Shaders not valid (mismatch of exe and data?)

Recommended Posts

Ok, I've read about this on other forums and people are saying that it's their video card. With the specs that they post I can belive that, but my video card should be able to at least be able to run it. I know it's not the best card around but here are the specs:

  • Video Adapter: nVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
  • Transistors: 289 million
  • Process Technology: 80 nm
  • Die Size: 169 mm2
  • Bus Type: PCI Express 1.0 x16 @ x16
  • Memory Size: 512 MB
  • GPU Clock (Geometric Domain): 567 MHz (original: 565 MHz)
  • GPU Clock (Shader Domain): 1242 MHz (original: 1242 MHz)
  • RAMDAC Clock: 400 MHz
  • Shaders: v4.0
  • DirectX Hardware Support: DirectX v10

  • Memory Bus Properties
  • Bus Type: GDDR3
  • Bus Width: 128-bit
  • Real Clock: 702 MHz (DDR) (original: 700 MHz)
  • Effective Clock: 1404 MHz
  • Bandwidth: 21.9 GB/s

nVIDIA ForceWare Clocks

Standard 2D GPU: 565 MHz, Shader: 1242 MHz, Memory: 700 MHz

I also get "No entry '.profilePathDefault'." when I try to start the game. When I click OK the game starts then I get the other error and it crashes. It creates a text file on my desktop with this in it:

language="English";

adapter=-1;

3D_Performance=93750;

Resolution_Bpp=32;
