rabs 10 Posted June 24, 2009 I really think this man deserves something, rather it be a T-shirt or a free copy of the game or a signed poster or a PC whatever. He has single handedly been the most effective marketing tool for ARMA2. For example, today, I heard his movies being talked about the PC gamer podcast, as well as the hundreds of thousands of views his movies have garnered. Alas, just look at the comments "omg, must have this game" "what game is this, I want it now!" etc etc. His movies sold me on ARMA2, on the atmosphere, on the style. So if nothing else, he needs a shout out of respect for helping ARMA2 achieve success and possibly being the biggest driver of sales for the game and you know, doing it for free and the love of the game. <33 richiespeedisback. Hope you get something cool from BIS, like a signed poster or something. P.S. recent quote from his youtube video "SOLD! just preordered my copy.. can't wait to co-op this baby.." CplBlakeman 10 Posted June 24, 2009 never heard of him/..... I think he is the guy that made the 1000 AI battle youtube vids?
Windexglow 10 Posted June 24, 2009 Pff, 1000? He's pushed to 2k.

Maddmatt 1 Posted June 24, 2009 I think he is the guy that made the 1000 AI battle youtube vids? Yes: And some others. Shows how effective some good video footage of a game can be. I would have expected more video footage from BIS themselves, considering that their trailers are usually very good.
TLove 10 Posted June 24, 2009 I totally agree. I can't tell you how many people I've convinced to buy the game because of his video. Know what would help more though THE DEMO
Student Pilot 0 Posted June 24, 2009 Hm, took more posts than I thought it would for someone to complain about the demo (or lack thereof). It will get released when it's ready, just be patient. richiespeedisback's videos have certainly intrigued me as well. They give me hope that maybe, just maybe, my system can run Arma II ok. If his can handle 2,000+ units, surely mine can handle 20-30? -Student Pilot
An Fiach 10 Posted June 24, 2009 lol the lack of a demo is probably helping sales. imagine how many twitch noobs will buy the game and then freak out because it is hard :)
Finios 10 Posted June 24, 2009 If his can handle 2,000+ units, surely mine can handle 20-30? :icon_lol: I've also passed his videos on to a few people, and they've helped sell at least 2 more copies. I got a kick out of the fact that he had to pack his PC in ice to keep it from melting once he got to 1,700 AI.

I if a dual core can do 1000 with out having to pack it with ice, think what a quad can do. correction: it was at 4.6ghz

EricM 0 Posted June 24, 2009 A free map of chernarus with a kind word from the team... An interview featured on Arma 2 website... there are things that don't cost money and still are very rewarding.
Placebo 28 Posted June 24, 2009 Love and admiration from a lot of random BI fans is great. But a Ferrari would be better =) Well when I said "our" I was referring to BIS' love and admiration ;) ---------- Post added at 10:41 ---------- Previous post was at 10:41 ---------- A free map of chernarus with a kind word from the team... That's actually a good idea, let me see what I can do ;) ---------- Post added at 10:42 ---------- Previous post was at 10:41 ---------- Although, I just read he said that OFDR will be better, so he's really blown his chances now ;)
TankCommander 3 Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) It's already very rewarding to have so many YouTube views and comments. As well as this thread alone anyone would be happy about that. If BI decided to send him a gift, then all the better! edit: apologies Placebo, didn't realise you were a part of the team :) Now give me a job and I'll love you forever! :p Edited June 24, 2009 by TankCommander
