So unnatural that people have been doing it for as long as they've been having sex.

the point is sex is much more natural than killing humans. it is only an aberration that causes murder, whereas sex is an intrinsic part of existing. we are programmed to reproduce. killing does not make an biological sense, thus it cannot be in the same category of natural acts such as sex.

however, killing is natural in the sense that acts of aggression is part of human nature. there are reasons why human societies have developed laws to prevent murder...and also it's the reason why we do not commit murder whenever we feel like it. our values are not the same as the base animals, such that we don't see murder as a natural occurrence.

sex is required, killing is not. that is the difference of degree between these two acts.

rape and children.

possible compromises:

-children can be present in cutscenes, but not accessible in gameplay.

-rape can be implied, but not shown.(arma 2 has this)

-combination of the above.

-misconduct(molestation, etc)

Adult content =/= porn.

Yes there are people that create nude/sex modifications but Adult content can be alot of things other than sex, e.g gore and dismemberment.

I should defend myself on this one:

First off, if you knew me you would know that I am the last person who would ever support slavery in any form in real life - I am an american liberal and belive in equal rights, self determination, and fair treatment and opportunities for all. BUT THIS IS NOT REAL LIFE, IT IS A GAME.

for the most part, I have been playing good aligned charactors ever since I started playing D&D edition 1 (d&d, NOT ad&d AND yes, I am that old). But recently I have been playing a bad-karma charactor in Fallout 3 along with some of the adult mods, slavery mods, etc that are available for that game. That charactor is nothing like me personally, but it is fun and interesting to make the bad moral choices in FRP where those choices hurt no-one. I have been wanting to bring this charactor to a multiplayer game and see ARMA 2 as possibly the game engine that could support this. No other engine I know of can support my ideas for how this might go.

Wow...seriously, does this look like World of Warcraft. If you are looking for some spank content go to WoW, because this is a modern day combat simulator, not a medevil combat simulator. I am suprised you haven't accidentally offed yourself thinking it was just a game and was the cool thing to do.

are you saying all forms of adult content has since disappeared in modern warfare?

i think you will find that prostitution, executions, assassinations, rape, torture and other "medieval" methods are still around today.

it is not about spraying the screen with gore every 5 minutes like many games tend to do for "grittiness", it is about providing proper context for those actions and alluding to these very real situations in a tasteful and respectful manner.

an imaginary example:

in a storyline, a village could be attacked by chedaki forces. there can be two outcomes. if the player arrives early, they catch the chedaki before the village is scripted to be razed. if the player arrives too late, they finds bodies hanging from the trees, mass graves, and burned buildings left by chedaki. and on the ground will be dead children. in a house, they find that an infant and its parents have been slaughtered by an infamous chedaki leader. also, in some shed hobbles out a valentina victim model and she says she has been raped and collapses from injuries sustained during. that is how such atrocities can be used for storytelling, campaign development and immersion.
