Yes it's so marvellous that our defence forces uses replica of AK-47. It wasn't so reliable as they say though. I served 9 months and had 2 malfucntions during that time. And those weren't just loading malfunctions of cartridges.

I never had problems with the weapon itself, just the "accessories" + blank ammo combination: Feeding problems because of worn-out mags and ejecting problems because of the brass collector(sometimes used when on excercises in urban areas). I also had one casing bounce off the collector and fly straight into my right eye, so that's one extra gadget I'm not too fond of :)

During my 18 months the weapon never jammed or otherwise malfunctioned when using live ammo, or practice ammo with good magazines, so yes I'd say it's pretty reliable.

I found a golden AKS on a spawned insurgent yesterday while playing the random "Survival" mission in the "Armory". I first thougt it to be a missing texture bug, but it was a perfecly shining golden AKS. I was so baffled that the mission ended before I could take a screenshot.

Does anybody know where to find that gun, or how to add it to a unit?

Actually, it does. It fires golden bullets that make the greedy Chedaki try catching them and thus effectively draws them into your line of fire.

NOTE: Results may vary on different systems!
