Before waiting all day as we are all doing, will the patch be out today or not?

Well so much for webpage stalk'n then. haha

I honestly would rather the patch be delayed and fix more stuff than early and not quite do or fix the things that really need to be fixed.

I suppose an answer to the question from a reliable source (a dev) would be appropriate, but you have to think that they are BUSY creating and testing the patch and demo and have no time to browse the forums. The Mods are just sick of all the patch questions and tired of locking the threads.

:D It is really nice of them to leave this one unlocked though, I think because they know for every one they lock 2 more pop up.

Nice catch. Some much needed information.

I see they are fixing the bloom blur stuff - THANK YOU BIS!

Does this patch add the English Language also? Anyone know?

* Improved AI driving skills

* Lowered enemy AI skills for regular and recruit difficulty levels

* Improved Micro AI tactics, attack in pairs, path limiting to avoid passing through walls.

* Fixed multiplayer session NAT negotiation

* Improved game stability (various crash opportunities fixed)

* Multiple save slots supported

* Improved terrain shape beyond map borders

* Various campaign and localization fixes and improvements

* Modules (F7) support added in the Mission Editor

* Added option to disable various post-process effects (bloom, blur etc.)

What i wait most is this and how this affects performance or does it.

To me that sounds like : "we have improved the random terrain generation, but haven't yet nailed the automatic texture part."

I guess they had enough trouble with what's INSIDE the map not to dedicate that much time on what's outside. Hopefully in the next patch we will have it all...

It seem that there is nothing about performances concern, and anti-aliasing.

I believe that the Patch will come in the form of a Pilsener, that's what I heard at the BI studios at least... and before you ask, I was there delivering some peanuts.

EDIT: Before thinking of locking this thread admins, please look at it as legit question and a way to avoid the mass opening of other threads with the same content.

EricM understood it as were getting FILLRATE plus AA slider so we have both and can do it as we want.

Um.. i have read the thread. Where in this do you see: "Added ability to set AA" ?

Looks like its a purely cosmetic patch apart from a couple of AI modifications unless the understated 'Improved game stability' is a winner although I probably would have highlighted that more with some detail as to the crash opportunities...

those are highlights, not all the changes I guess.

I hope they fix crossfire, not sure if using the -winxp affects IQ or not using a different DirectX

Yes i know, but if AA is not a highlight then i don't know what is...

I don't understand where Alex have read that they will add AA in the 1.02 patch.

It's probably your CPU which is a bit weak if you get lag when there is lots of AI.
