Pointless ? The game is coming out july 7 in North America for those of us that want to buy a boxe. Not a code.

The demo will allow a lot of people to test it out.

I cant buy the game... i dont care about a demo - need the game! Fucking dollar hungry bastard swedes "ArmA didnt sell good so we dont like ARMA2".

I would download and play the demo but i cant be without all the good stuff ARMA has. Would just not feel right to know its so much in there that isnt accesible.

1) We can get a feel for the game

2) We can see how the multiplayer is

3) We can see the multiplayer and how it works and stuff

4) PEOPLE CAN SEE HOW THERE RIG HANDLES THE GAME!!!!! WHO WANTS TO BUY A GAME THAT SUCKS BECAUSE THERE RIG IS SLOW EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE RECOMMENED SPECS!!!

I know my rig handles it. Thats why i dont need a demo. And even if it didnt run the game (wich ofcourse it does - maybe not on highest but cmon, who cares - ARMA is ARMA) i would buy it anyway. Nothing beats BIS games. CoD? no, BF2? no, SIMS? your kidding right?

Its harder to get the actual game that i want to pay for than getting a demo... somethings wrong with the world. :(

Looks good to me. you wont run it on highest, but it will run good. My mate have the same CPU but 9800GT and running high with no problems. Remember ARMA is ARMA and it wont show instantly. First it will maybe feel a bit laggy, then you start messing with options and let the game RUN for while. It will feel better and better.

Oh and forget the resolution you run other games in (if you run 22 inch screen especially). Maybe have to go down a notch in res and run windowed to get sharp nice graphics. Until patches with performance enhances comes at least.

Some people dont realize demos serve 2 purposes to me

1) How will it run

2) Glimpse how good the game is or crappy

I just hope for your sakes that the demo is the same as the full game when it comes to how it runs. Many times i tested demos they didnt handle like the actual game. And again - ArmA1 was the same to me and everyone i know - it gets better with time. Settings needs to be adjusted and tested adjusted and tested. After time it gets better. Always does. At least in my long time experience.

The good news: Today is also the official launch for the localized version i am going to buy.
