The fact that our country is located in the pacific and the lines are underground and having to stretch all the way around the world. This is why bandwidth and the internet over here is expensive. If we were located in Europe or America the internet prices and plans would'nt be so darn expensive.

Also we have the population of about roughly 4,300,000 people. If we had a higher population as well the internet would also be somewhat cheaper because since we are a small country with that kind of population, to the government its not as important. Australia is slightly cheaper than New Zealand cause they have a population of 20mllion.

Guys, anyone know of a download location that has the demo not as an .exe file? DL of .exe files is blocked here, and would like to use my DL speed here to get the DL done in advance prior to getting home, onto my usb stick.

Vuze is video only and BitTorrent isn't a tracker it's a client.

Each of those sites hosts torrents that have content which is not legal, so it's not appropriate for us to use such trackers for "official" purposes.

uncapped? most of the plans are capped with most of the ISPs. I know theres one ISP called Xnet that has a $1 per GB plan, but i didn't go with them cause of my mother not wanting to and the fact that there is alot of problems with gaming issues and download speeds crapping out often with them.

Im with Telecom NZ , it use to be one of the worst ISPs in New Zealand, they have improved somewhat and are much much better now but when you over exceed your monthly cap you have to pay 2c per mb which is crazy. I know theres a business plan with them where you pay $2.50 NZD per GB but i could'nt get it cause its not a residental plan.

So, which Aussies are going straight into MP? :)

Is there a server up to support it?

Guys , have a nice time with demo and i hope you will buy full version too

I've bought 2 copies already, 1 for lan usage, might buy 2 more so that my poor friends who are unsure about arma 2 can be convinced :D

besides its a a nice feel to support nice devs like Bis :inlove:

Oh, well. A bit pointless downloading now as the Steam full version releases tomorrow and it's 14+ hours to download just the demo at this point.

All I have is DSL @ 384k
