Mikobiko 10 Posted June 13, 2009 1) In Arma 2 can we assign Ip's to the server instance? Couldnt in Arma 1. 2) Does it still crush a single core or is it multithreaded. 3) Will there be a steam based dedicated server system? *begs* 4) If no steam based dedicated, can you use a different installer for patches. patching the game on a dedicated machine is difficult because the arma 1 installer bombs out saying the game isn't installed. Binary 0 Posted June 13, 2009 1) No 4) However - unlike ArmA 1 you don't need an extra cd-key for the server if you install ArmA 2 normally on the server. That can save you quite a few headaches.
Mikobiko 10 Posted June 13, 2009 Its incredibly sad that the game doesn't even support IP passing. I hope they add this soon as it is needed. I never needed a cdkey for my dedi on Arma 1.
RN Escobar 0 Posted June 13, 2009 i used a CD key for installing on a dedi, but since the dedi didn't actually ever use the CD key you could use the CD key from your client game with no FADE issues.
