Might even enable torpedos before release. Rear decks are Walkable and choppers can be lashed to the deck like on my released FSF. Zodiacs are deployable, and retreivable also. belgerot 33 Posted August 16, 2010 I also had a try at a modelled beard. That's a pretty good attempt. I would concentrate more on making sure the faciar hair pattern 'faced' the correct way. Needs: - more variations - bloodtextures - model adjustments - config work :dead: These units look great! Forget the beards. Just add more hoods and balaclavas. There can never be enough of those. I don't know, but in the countless amounts of naval exercises, there are ships firing rockets into the air, like a MLRS system. icewindo 29 Posted August 18, 2010 nice texture, but there are some problems.Firstly, the beard doesn't really sit like a natural beard. There is no natural direction or form to the beard fibres. It does, however, seem to be okay for the outskirts of the beard. Whatever brush you used to create the alpha of the beard is not working. Beards don't start in blotches, they start in sparse hairs that point in the same direction as the rest of the beard. Also, the form of the beard is wrong. You shoudl probably try to lay a mustache, plus a beard, plus sideburns, then meld the beard into the sideburns to get a more natural look. That's a pretty good attempt. Yep my attempt was very basic, I used the second lod of the BIS "bysta" (ArmA2 head) head, copied out the parts of the face I wanted to fill with the beard, applied a solid texture and then worked on the seams to contain a transparent texture. I'll have a try at your suggestions though when the units are more settled. Also found a good (and funny) reference site: http://www.beards.org/features.php I also had to copy in the head directly and not use proxy model on bearded units as I would get weird transparency bugs when using the proxy. These units look great! Forget the beards. Just add more hoods and balaclavas. There can never be enough of those. Some bandanas too if it's not too much work. Maybe your FIA units could be used as some sort of a reorganized military remnant along with these guys? Yep the dirt version of these could probably fit in well.
