Hello all,

New to the forum and community here, so please forgive any misplaced questions on my part. 

 

I´ve been with the series since 2001, but missed out on the heydays of Arma 1 and 2 due to a lack of HW to play on and a combination of other (life-related) stuff getting in the way.

Long story short, I finally got around to actually catching up on those games a couple of months back, only to find Armaholic and most other sites/links to various mods dead. 

I did manage to scavenge a lot of stuff on armedassault.info and ModDB (many thanks to the people who uploaded it there), but there´s still a lot of it I´d like to get my hands on and haven´t been able to find any working link.

 

Do I understand correctly that this is the thread where to ask for Arma 2 mods and where I can post a list of what I´m looking for? The bIdentify site by Jerry Hopper seems to be working but with all files missing, and the one other project I found out about - the WGP archive (link below) - is not available for public access anymore. Or is there any way I could gain access to it if it´s still up and running?

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Don't worry about that, it's a mirror of armedassault.info, I looked file by file, there were only 3 files that weren't there, the rest of the things were A3.

As for my Arma 2 "wishlist"....

 

Part 1:

 

1) Four custom missions for the Guerra do Ultramar mod made by a fellow called CimaleX: one is called Guinea 1972 Foot Patrol (https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/136624-spcampco-real-world-operations-rwo/?page=12&tab=comments#comment-2540647), another is Strela! (https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/162929-sp-strela-rwo/), the other Operacao Mar Verde – Operation Green Sea (https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/166979-sp-dih_operacao-mar-verde-operation-green-sea-rwo/), and the last Angola 1972 (https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/177492-sp-dih_angola-1972-rwo/). 

If there happens to be some other SP content made for this mod as well / instead (either by CimaleX or someone else), great. I only found a campaing called Operation Trident, but will take anything. I also bumped into a mission called DIH Mocambique 1972 on the bidentify site (https://bidentify.jerryhopper.com/file/44192667-61f7-44bc-80a4-3c4a1a200f73), again by CimaleX for the GdU mod, but couldn´t trace it via archive.org, so I don´t know any details about it.

 

2) The four missions above were made as part of the RWO initiative, so I would like to get my hands on literally any community missions/campaigns listed on the RWO site/thread (https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/136624-spcampco-real-world-operations-rwo/) – I only found Task Force 42 and Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan.

 

3) Any third party SP content utilizing the VME-PLA MOD (https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/72703-vme-pla-mod-for-arma-ii/) or/and the JSDF mod https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/114356-jsdf-mod-10-released/). I do have the Senkaku/Diayou Islands Conflict mission by Kommiekat (https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/132162-sp-senkakudiaoyu-island-conflict-vme_pla-mod/), but would be interested in others such as China takes a peek, also by Kommiekat (https://web.archive.org/web/20200623231226/https://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=15415).

16) The abovementioned mission requires the terrain Carraigdubgh by Bushlurker, plus some other addons. I was able to find the terrain on armedassaultinfo, but for the IRA insurgents by colonel stagler, AAI only has the 1.0 version, but the last one was v1.2 with some bugfixes (https://web.archive.org/web/20150325065244/https://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=16434), so I´d like to get that one just in case. And as mentioned above, the v110 of CWR2 BAF may be needed.

 

17) There were also some updated and additional missions made by W0lle specifically for this map (Cleansweep v101, Return the Tractor v101, and Coop 04- Rapid Rescue, listed here: https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/125531-carraigdubh-county-leitrim-a-5x5km-geotypical-irish-terrain/) which lack active links now.

21) I´ll take pretty much anything other done by CimaleX (such as this one for the Pedagne Mod: https://web.archive.org/web/20191110124807/http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=23936) or other prominent creators like Kommiekat and W0lle that is not on armedassault info already. CimaleX apparently worked at some point on a SP campaign for the Project 82 Falklands mod; though based on the forum, he probably never finished it (I can´t find the link anymore, but there is a mention on AAI: http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?game=1&cat=news&id=5790). Anyways, the Project 82 mod is also something I´m looking for in the most recent version (I found v5, but dunno if it was the last one). If there happens to be any SP content made for this mod as well, great.

 

22) SP content utilizing the Fallujah map if you happen to know of any.

To correct that false statement. The wgp archive is not in any way a mirror of AA or AH.

You can do whatever you want, I'm not trying to make a controversy about this, I'm just saying what it is, and if you don't believe me, take the trouble to compare the files, at least those files that are there are already in AA, there aren't many Those who are not there, I am sorry that my comment bothered you, it was not my intention to bother anyone.

Indeed. Especially for the late-comers among us. I wish more people would upload what they collected over the years to ModDB.

 

Have you managed to get the Forgotten Few Takistan addon you asked for earlier? I wish I could help you, but all I have is the basic Chernarus version (0.54) of it. The author, King Nothing, seems to still be active on the forum though. Perhaps it might be worth a shot asking him directly if he still has the files somewhere?

Hello i know this game is dead and nothing back to play AO but i am yes , I know that no one plays Arma 2 in the middle of 2023, perhaps I am the last holdout of those old players but I come here to ask if someone kindly and strongly has the Cold War Rearmed mod, including missions and others that the team that works on that team is so excited It hit me when I only played Arma gold and its mod in 2021, I know that perhaps the links are already dead everywhere except a beta, I appreciate if any of you still have the file alive to play the campaign, thank you :)

Damn, so the the CWR website is dead now as well? The rate of dying links is worrying and still no comprehensive salvation in sight.

 

Anyways, I downloaded the mod from the website in its entirety earlier this year, so if you´re still looking for it, I can try to upload it somewhere for you to download. Unfortunately, it lacks most of the extra custom-made missions, since the links on the website were only for Armaholic (I´m looking for them myself), but the basic missions and campaign are there afaik. Lemme know.

Thanks for the link! I only gave it a quick gander for now and managed to find VTE 1.6 there, so that´s great. Two of the Cimalex missions for Guerra do Ultramar that I´ve been looking for are listed there, but just like a lot of other stuff, it only has a html and json entry and is not downloadable (unless I´m missing something). So same as when I check the bidentify site itself, where most of the uploaded stuff is missing for some reason (https://bidentify.jerryhopper.com/files/arma2oa/scenarios/spmissions).

Will do. I´m a bit busy these days with life nonsense, so it might take a while for me to do so (especially since I´m not exactly proficient with sharing sites), but I´ll try to do it some time this month. Unless of course W0lle (or someone else) doesn´t re-upload it himself somewhere or get the site running again in the meantime.

 

I´ve only been scavenging for Arma 2 mods for the past few months, so most of the stuff I have is from ModDB or armedassault.info, but I´ll try to upload the things that are not readily available there as well.
