Akira 0 Posted March 7, 2002 Why on some missions do my units show up on the map, and in some other mission they don't show up at all (custom made missions)? Kinda hard to get about without knowin' where you are. The map will have all the waypoints and all that, but no markers for me or my group. Also how do you get waypoints to show up in game (ie the orange box with the distance and waypoint order). I've selected "always show", which I suspect has to do with the map and not in game. And how EXACTLY do you group? I make the units, select "group" and 'draw a box to highlight them all', but is that it? Are they automatically "grouped" when you make a squad (units assigned thru command to another unit). If so then what is the use of grouping?
Bart.Jan 0 Posted March 7, 2002 -Units are visible on map only in cadet difficulty. -Waypoints are visible on map only when you mark them visible in cadet mode or visible always. -Yellow (or orange - depends on eyes) square (box) is vissible only in cadet mode when you are leader or you are ordered to go somewhere to do something. -Grouping units : Grouped units are linked by blue line. When you want to group units press F2 (groups), click on first unit, hold button and move cursor to unit you want to link to and then release button. You can place some predefined groups by F2 and double-click on map. -Grouped can be also triggers with units. Then you have another list in activation box.
