Possible to change soldier class ingame?

in arma2 is it possible to say switch from a normal soldier to a sniper with a gillie suit whilst ingame (ie without going back to the lobby)?

Would be great if it would be possible, however i doubt it - even though it was often suggested and its would a neat little feature.

In Arma1 people tried workaround with creatunit and teamswitch, but it was never really fully bug-less working - dunno if it works with Arma2.
