patch 1.02 suggestions

Women are always standing in boats. Please make them sit down like all men do. It looks so strange, when they put their heads through the sun roof.

No wonder, the men animations looks too masculine/spread legs etc.. Not a big deal breaker, but it removes a bit of freedom for the missionmaker.

You can set skill and precision in the menu just like ArmA.

thanks for the reply mate but i tried- only saw the skill setting there. not precision. german version bough via morphicon with english mod and 1.01. patch

Please dear devs... could you guys please listen to the people that play your product? Just looks that what this dude did, he made screenshots and put it nicely in a post. He took some time for it. Now do the same. Instead of a graphics overhaul. No offense. Of course this is not the only one, I would like to give props to the rest of the people giving suggestions.

I can drop my list in here if I want to, but that list is so long and I'm not going to do it because I'm sure that maybe 1 or 2 things will be added.

Again no offense and please don't come with your 'i'M a B1G aRm4 fanb0y and 'it's sooooo hard to code' bs.

I have respect for those who made this game. But this is just a updated graphics mod for ArmA. Of course there's a lot of things like the scripts/dynamics. But come on...

1. Analogue Throttle.

2. Able to map joystick keys above 16.

3. Correct star colours

4. Adjustable motion blur... I love it but I see some ppl want to turn it down/off.

5. Able to save and recall mp campaign like you can in single player mode.

6. Separate adjustment for the ingame VOIP that does not turn up the AI calls.

one VERY IMPORTANT thing. VERY!

When in mission and razor is on the radio with high command or what ever you cannot order your team to do a damn thing - even if they are under fire!!

please BIS this would be a good thing if you could let me control/order the team even if the high command thinks its time to chat about circumstances while i am being shot at by 2 brdm's and flanked by a few opfor.

AI know where you are when adding a mine or satchel and then blow it from far away. Same was in ArmA1.00 up to some patch where it was fixed. I just read this here on the forum. Havent seen it myself. But its important to fix.

Please include as a content update with the MH6 and Ka50 from ArmA1. (Why lose good content).

Also add:

M16A4 Ironsights

M16A4 AIMPOINT Grenade Launcher

M4

M4A1 CCO 203

Change M136 from 6 slots to normal 2 slots or 1 slot take up, with a fired script that makes sure the player can never carry more then 1 ammo for it (ie drops the tube as it only works once).

HDR Options / Enable / Disable.

Jinn try to report all the bugs HERE as well.

But I'm pretty sure BIS won't fix the 99.9% of these bugs,for example I already repoted the lack of proper ironsight view,with pickups PK,when the Queen Gambit expansion has been released..result?..you can see yourself!..maybe in the next two years ,who knows! :rolleyes:

Of course there are much more important stuff to fix before,but hey!! some of those imperfections would require really just few minutes to be fixed.

BIS can I offer my support?..for free eh! :D

What would be nice addition and further immersion into the game

Would be the abilty to carry extra ammo and the use of the backpack to carry ammo etc

120 rounds is not adequate at the best of times,particulary when you are on a long range patrol

Also by having the abilty to drop the backpack would also add to game play

my 2cents worth

i'm sure lot of people will agree that 'default' A2 shall include in future:

+ countermeasures for air vehicles (flares,chaff etc)

+ smoke screens for armored vehicles and maybe some Active Protection System

For tanks, when tank/tanks get ambushed they should be able to make a "huge" smoke screen and back up to safer location while spraying covering fire. When they get to safe location, they (AI) starts thinking of flanking, sending infantry to recon, attack the ambush area or to call air/artillery strike.

And of course AI/you won't be able to see through the smoke screen.

Also if infantry gets ambushed they should do the same.

Hi there...

I noticed, that if you are pilot of aircrafts, the sound of the own engine inside the vehicles is not loud enough..... you hear other sounds from outside much louder.....

You can watch this video..... and see what i mean... it would be nice if it will be fixed with the next patch....

that sound "bug" is actually a realistic feature of the new and improved sound engine. so no, it will not be "corrected"

Something i noticed when i tested ARMA2 1.01beta (maybe fixed in final) was that sounds acted a bit weird. I cant tell you exact specs but its on a pretty good pc.

The problem we noticed was that if a artyshell/bomb for example went off to your right, and you moved your head to look at the explosion - the sound followed your right "ear" so you kept spinning around wondering were the explosion went off/is. When we saw the explosion aftermath we started wondering what was happening. We tested also with arty module and one shoot it while the other look at the impacts.

Everytime a shell went off outside your eyesight and you turn to look at it - the sound "sticks" to that side and follows instead of the sound being still and shifts in the speakers so you hear it in front of you. It keeps following the side you hear it on. Hope this makes any sense. Maybe someone can test it in the 1.01 final and see if its there or not. But my fear is that this happens when rifles are being shot as well. Anyone ever felt that you hear a gunshot outside your vision but you cant really tell where it comes from when you look for the shooter? In ArmA1 i can tell with uber accuracy.

Its a suggestion to look into that and fix it if its still there cause its mighty important with sound and hearing in this game. And ARMA2's sound is so sweet that i wouldnt want it to be broken. Not being able to pinpoint sounds is devastating in a combat sim.

Hi there again.....

what i mean is..... when the sound in the vehicel is toned down because it has to simulates earplugs or a pilot helmet you are wearing... why can i hear the sound of other vehicles or birds which are outside so loud?

And its ok that there is no realy noise now while flying... but it could be a bit louder an some sounds of vibration when flying an extreme maneuver and a sound for the airflow...

And we need some nicer girls... lol

You mean outside noises should be toned down - not engine be louder inside cause that would be a pain when talking to your mates over VOIP. ;) But yes, hearing a bird tweet when you got afterburner roaring shouldnt happen. Im not too fuzzed though. Not as fuzzed as with what i wrote. Sounds stick to the side (ear) you hear it when you turn...

Makes it impossible to locate where the sounds come from. Gun shot left - you look left - the trailoff still comes in left ear so you think the shooter is even further left... bang from front - your dead. Not good. Maybe fixed in 1.01Final? Dont know. Serious if not. Very serious.

i'm not sure that if this has been brought up before but for some reason when i join a server lets say an Evo server and there is plenty of slots to choose from and i play for a bit and then leave..... well when i come back there is only like 12 slots left and they have all been taken..... its like when i left the slot i was in vanished along with all the other people that joined and left.

Dont know if this was mentioned, but can we have a variable to set the degree of friction for a polygon/surface, Ie carrier deck. The whole sliding off is so silly, and attachto does not offer full freedom.

By adding this in it will allow for some pretty impressive missions and increase the fun factor for all.

I dont know if BIS will even bother with most these requests but it be nice if they did do what was possible (most should be). I won't be buying ARMA3 until I see significant improvement in ARMA2 within short time. BIS must understand that other companies are looking to copy what they are doing, competition ;)

We used a similar method in flight simulator when seaplanes could not move freely. By lowering the water friction, we could then move on water in a realistic fashion.

I agree with being able to set the friction of a surface. It would also help in cargo planes, where you could raise the friction of the cargo bay to prevent slipping out.
