New 10.10 ati driver work great on my machine. I found modded driver for 5000 series http://www.mediafire.com/?5h6cpooivo4sbox no registry edit needed.

There is new aa mode and new AI defenitly worth trying. Preformance compared with previous 10.9 are enormous better for me . I didnt run benchmarks only gameplay is much better.

What should i try in your opinion?

The "modded" 10.10 driver?.. or the new "official" 10.10?

The modded 10.10 drivers would they any better than the official 10.10 drivers if used with my 4890 or they mainly modded for the 5 series?

^^ only for 5 series...that mod driver enable MLAA ( Morphological AA ) for 5 series before AMD official enable that new tipe of AA in 10.11 for 5 series.

Ati 10.10 driver is great by it self and this modded offers new aa and new AI tweak mode . If you have time try both to see what is best for you. I suggest

to use driver sweeper from guru 3d before installing this modded. All this new stuffs work on 6000 and 5000 series but i dont know about 4000... search on some forums it might help.

as far as i understood

it is supported for all series 6/5/4000 for the 5/4000 u have to edit your register bevore it shows up in the catalyst control center.

"BUt" the game must support "openCL" otherwise its just a feature u can turn on or off.

it works with stock 10.10 driver suite, note u have two possibility's, catalyst suite and catalyst with open-CL.

take the one with open-CL

when u have installed this driver u have to edit your register just google the file name u just downloaded wich lines u have to edit and it shows up (u dont need the modded version as they are only for 6000 version)

I tried driver from 1.01 to 1.09 the day before they released the 10.10

So as far as it runs good with 10.4 on XP32 or 10.6 W7 I wonder if I can improve something with this new one.

My bottleneck is the CPU and maybe the RAM speed. The GPU is not top notch but it works very well (don't know if I can stretch it more).

I don't run CCC but Ati tray tools.

So do you think there's some feature in 10.10 to reduce LOD switch?

What is OpenCL?

Thank you in advance, here's my specs:

GPU Ati radeon Sapphire HD5670 1GB

CPU E6400 2,13Ghz (5% OC to 2,24)

OS Windows XP pro 32 bit

4 GB ram 800Mhz (run 844 for the OC)

All on secondary HDD defragmented and sorted by path

its back, and before, all you have to do was remove the /9468/ ? numbers. There isnt any performance improvements for OA( there never will be) but there are some new filters for newer cards 68xx and the 58xx.

remember all the shader or other optimizing is very often global (not just title related)

so if AMD.ATI improves something what helps overall or DX9 titles it might help our title aswell

yes, but DX9 is all but dead to the IHVs now, but one could hope they find a bit of love for the 4xxx line.

A few days ago, I got my system upgraded.

When using postprocessing on medium or higher I get annoying blur effect on the aiming sight itself especially with NV goggles (even have problems with the laser). I didn't have this problem with my previus system.

System: Sapphire HD 4890 1GB GDDR5

ATI Catalyst 10.10

Win7 64bit

Tried it with latest beta and stable and got the same results.

No mods used.

Can anyone help me?

Sorry if it's been posted, did search for this but with no luck.

look in ati catalyst if mipmap detail is set to quality that could be the cause of your blurrie view,..
