Trouble with grass. Ensk Island.

I have a trouble with a grass. What is the reason of this bug and how i can fix it? :confused:

Hard to tell from the images, but it looks to be a problem with the mask_lco, your texture files or layers.cfg. Could you post (or provide download link to) these so we can look at them? Sorry I can not be of more help at this point.

Seems like the clutter bug. Should be gone once binarized (correctly).

Or is it already binarized?

If we're talking about grass & clutter. Is it advisable to use Sahrani settings or is there any new one that looks better and has a better distance concealment?

SgtAce Settings / 3DE Dreide / new Sgt.Ace Everon (beta) are the best by far.

Seems like the clutter bug. Should be gone once binarized (correctly).

I have trouble like this one on the different parts of road. How can i fix it?

PS: By the way, when we binarized island on the second and third time, we again have trouble with grass. What is the reason of this damned bug?

what are your projetc parameters?

terrain cell size?

texture cell size?

and your config nodetail distance?

There must be something wrong in your settings..

By looking into the road.. an old detectable bug is present.

can you use max view distance without CTD?

in the project parameters / textures layers, clic on "base" and clic "edit". You ll find the parametre of the texture size ;)

for the view distance in your config give us this:

class Lighting : DefaultLighting {};

clutterGrid = ??;

clutterDist = ??;

noDetailDist = ??;

fullDetailDist = ??;

minTreesInForestSquare = ??;

minRocksInRockSquare = ??;

what is the CTD?

CTD means Crash to Desktop. What he is asking is: If you place yourself on the map and try to play on it does it crash with your normal view distance set? or do you have to add fog to stop it from crashing?

CTD = Crash to desktop.

T_D and mikero working on a tool to fix the clutter bug once and for all.

Q... i mean Kju thanks fantastic that your working on a tool to fix the clutter. I wonder what the limitations of it. Will we have better visual and improved clutter?

No we can not change the format.

T_D and mikero are only to create a working wrp file. Yet for more details you have to

contact em.

Check 3DE Dreide or the brand new Sgt.Ace Everon for excellent clutter!

texture cell size is 10.0 x 10.0 m, parameters in the config is:

clutterGrid = 0.9;

clutterDist = 100;

noDetailDist = 50;

fullDetailDist = 10;

minTreesInForestSquare = 2;

minRocksInRockSquare = 1;

We had the CTD early, but now there are no CTD's.

arf you guys forgot to mention the most important thing, that i believe its causing the problem.

In your texture layers, click edit, what do you have there?

your texture cell size is too small try 40*40 i think it ll be good after ;)

the texture cell size he referred in the top list is correct. What he possibly need to change is in the "texture layers, click edit"

We have another trouble - when we binarize island all city names is changhing to the default Sahrani names. What we need to do to correct this?

Sahrani? How come? Sahrani shouldn't have any relation to your custom island made from scratch?

Does any of that appear in your config at all? Minus the Manan part that is the name of something else.
