19Yzerman19 1 Posted March 5, 2002 Simple Senerio. Soldier on your team is injured so you send him to the medic on your team to be healed. While he is being healed he is shot and killed but Medic will not stop trying to heal him. You can order the medic to move but he won't, he just tries to ressurect the dead body. You can tell him to reload, go get ammo, etc. and he will but then goes right back to healing the dead body. While he's obessed with the dead body he will not heal anyone else. Doesn't happen that often, but I was shot in the leg and couldn't stand, and my medic was busy with the stiff so I had to crawl for 1500 meters to the extraction. Not fun. ralphwiggum 6 Posted March 6, 2002 it's a funny bug. when i snipe some enemy squad with a medic, the medic will try to help the injured one. when the injured one is healed, i shoot it again before the injured(but healed) one trys to get back to action. then, medic does his thing again. but even more annoying bug is when this happens, sometimes medic gives upon his medical duty and trys to move. the dead soldier that i shot is dead, but medic is stuck with him, and is moving along with him for awhile. my guess is that when medic AI heals soldiers, it moves to stand up(or finish animation) when the subject is healed to level 0(damage value 0). but when the subject is shot during healing process, the value of the subject's health is 1. and i'm guessing that BIS made that if soldier's life has value of 1, than no one can treat it.. so, when medic is in process of healing this injured guy, he checks if the injured guy's health(damage value) is 0, and if not, continue his process. but if i shoot and kill injured during healing process, the damage value goes directly to 1, which makes medic keep wprking on dead guy since his health is not 0, while game does not accomodate that since no medic is allowed to heal anyone with damage value of 1.
