Keep in mind you will have Windows 7 64 bit, so if you run into troubles, then be sure to patch with the latest and then search through the forums here for any solutions to issues you may have, but overall i dont see a problem. I say nvidia as i dont know about ATI and from all the stuff I read and complaints they arn't dependable, and i never had an issue with Nvidia and I been using them since 1996. Saying any Nvidia 200-400 card will do is just a bad advice. A gf 210 won't even run the game. a gts 450 isn't really faster then a 9800gtx and that's not in the series. Your ram advice is also terrible, why would you get 4 sticks of 1gig a piece if you can get 2 sticks of 2 gig a piece for less. Asus isn't the only company that makes good mobo's. I have 3 asus boards and no problems so far. Next board I buy will be gigabyte, but asus is an A-brand that's true. If you buy a decent board you don't need a soundcard, just use onboard, if you're not satisfied you can always add one. No, Its a suggestion, obviosly a 210 wouldn't run the game,its a general concept, I only state the range as to give him a general idea of where to look, thats why i suggested at the end "Hope that at least gets you an idea" and surely i'm not going to be the only one responding to the post, so i left it at that. Well lets patronize me even more, from my stand point im just going off of what I know based on my computer setup, which Runs the game fairly well, as I have 2 sticks 1 gig a piece, so i figured that add 2 more sticks a gig a piece and youd be ok, if you can do 2 sticks 2 gigs a piece then great. I'm here to help anyway I can, and if its not 100% correct, then one has to use their best judgement and or get other options, and or opinions, he asked for suggestions thats what i gave him be it right or wrong. Going by what i say alone even though i post frequently on various topics dont mean Im an expert, I know alot things about the game, as well as computers to my limited knowledge, If you dont want to accept what I suggest, because it may or may not be wrong or what your looking for, then so be it, its no big deal. Asus isn't the only company that makes good mobo's. Of course it isn't, just what came to mind at the moment i was typing, as it isn't everyday you swap out a motherboard, I've only done it twice in my time with computers, as i said its a suggestion, take it or leave, it, if you can suggest some other ones then by all means, it would help. Gunter Severloh 3949 Posted September 22, 2010 Off the top of my head and dont take my word for it, but: dedicated I believe is a card that can be removed integrated is a card that is built into the motherboard. Just my guess really, i got a friend that is a computer tech that could better answer your questions, but those are my guess as to what they are. As for the power supply, i really dont know why they dont list the power, its prob got a stock power supply in there either 500watt, or something smaller, I cant really say for sure, I suggest that you contact them and really find out, if your aiming to get that computer, Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

If you buy an assembled pc the PSU should be sufficient for the pc, no real need to list it, although it would be nice. Dedicated indeed means there's a "real" videocard in it instead of a chip on the motherboard that usually uses (a part of) the pc memory for video memory. If you want to compare gpu's take a look at this chart, I still have an 8800gtx and I cant really play at medium details on 1920x1200. The 240 is 3 rows down, roughly half the speed. I strongly suggest you look at something with a faster gpu. The E5400 is a budget outdated processor and although it does perform ok there are better (AMD) processors in that price catagory. Current generation processors are the intel i series (i3/i5/i7) and amd PhenomII or AthlonII processors. Anyway, if I had to make a recomendation I'd get something like this. It has an intel i series quadcore, without the (for gaming) useless hyperthreading, 4GB ram and a very fast gpu. Edited September 22, 2010 by Leon86 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I have that G860 laptop with: i7 740QM 4gb ram HD5870 Win7-64 and it actually runs ARMA:OA quite well (25-50fps) at 1920x1080. I did not try player yet - lack of speedy servers here in China. I am not satisfied with the performance. ArmA ran very nice on this machine, as do other games. Besides, if you're gonna spend that kind of money you wouln't buy a 750GB harddisk, and why is there an IDE dvd player in there ??? Sata has been the norm for years, nobody wants a big pata cable in their system. If you want the best deal you'll have to build it yourself (pretty easy these days) but I'm pretty sure there are better deals on pre assembled systems than the one you found there.
