Start at the beginning, for that fresh, exciting 'don't know what to expect but I'm going to find out' feeling.. And if all is happy and functional, make a mental note to not visit a certain review site.

First I'll set up my controls(Joysticks, etc) Second thing I'll do is fire up the editor. Place myself at the airfield in a Osprey, fly around the island, and then play around abit with the MLRS. Then perhaps go on a bycycle ride. Then play some single player missions/tutorials/then straight to MP. just to get a feel of the controls(If they are any different)/island before i go online.

EDIT third - i will place myself in the forrest as a civillian farmer, hunting for wild boars, armed with a sniper rifle.

I will look at how well the game runs on other peoples rigs and figure out what hardware I need to have it running great without spending too much :)

Most logical answer to topic question:

Turn on the Computer.

Well considering I'll download it from sprocket / IDEA games etc, computer will already be on.

So I guess install it, then I'll immediately email the server hosting company to get it installed; try it out in the mission editor.

Play some of the SP campaign and hopefully not leave second mission in.

Test ad don compatibility, and mostly script compatibility.

edit:

i will place myself in the forrest as a civillian farmer, hunting for wild boars, armed with a sniper rifle.

Amen to that.

:yay:

Install it, start a hex editor and look what new scripting commands are available :p

Though I forgot to add the "Drink beer" parts that Yoma mentioned. :D

Probably will be too busy processing all the new recruits into our clan to have time to play the game! :p

Yell magnificent cursing words when the game runs at 0.1-0.5 fps on my gaming rig.

Other than that, I'll try to make some deathmatches asap.

Placing a C130 in the editor and try to load chicken and cows into cargo :D

When you start a game and you don't know what to do first because you're so excited one has to admit that this game can be called a success. :bounce3:

Technically, the first thing I will do is experiment with settings and control configurations. After that, though, it's offer to the editor to do some experimentation!

1. Configure/optimize controls, settings and details

2a. Start the campaign. If I don't like it I'll skip to point 2b

2b. Editor - get used to weaponry & vehicles, do some AI tests. Experiment to see what has improved since ArmA I

3. Multiplayer

4. Wait for ACE2

5. Die of old age while playing ArmA II

;1273233']Placing a C130 in the editor and try to load chicken and cows into cargo.

Then fly to the highest altitude, open the ramp and drop the cargo.
