Scrub 0 Posted April 21, 2009 Been meaning to say "Thanks for the shiny new forums, guys!" Clean, functional, not at all bad to look at. I just posted on a youtube vid, and of course people always bicker unless you give solid proof of what you say (and rightly so). Was nice to place a quote and give lookup info right down to the post number. Thread/page/post#... Nothing left wanting here, lol. Hope you all have a good degree of satisfaction from this! Deadfast 43 Posted April 21, 2009 by the way, how can we Rate a thread?I noticed there are several threads with rated stars, how can i do it? I see no option available to do it. I think it's no longer possible. There used to be the option in the top right header of the thread.
bravo 6 0 Posted April 21, 2009 ok, i thought i read somewhere saying it was deactivated due to some reasons. I just wanted to know if it intends to exit in the future or if the existing threads could be cleared.
Placebo 29 Posted April 21, 2009 Seeing as we now have search within a thread there is really no excuse to be asking questions already answered ;) http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1270823&highlight=rate#post1270823
.kju 3244 Posted April 21, 2009 Maybe your connection, YT is pretty quick for me and has HD.....We may look into expanding the type of embedded video supported but it's not a priority by any means. Yes yes ... Germany, DSL 16M, German Telekom. What do you have? HD is not always available for low or new hit videos. Also YT HD is still way crappy that standard Vimeo quality. Vimeo is made for gaming videos.
Placebo 29 Posted April 21, 2009 Yes yes ...Germany, DSL 16M, German Telekom. What do you have? Sweden, cable 50Mbit down/10Mbit up, Comhem, what do I win? HD is not always available for low or new hit videos. Also YT HD is still way crappy that standard Vimeo quality. Vimeo is made for gaming videos. Whether Vimeo is "made for gaming videos" or not, for now you have Youtube, for the future you may have others, it's your right to love Vimeo and you're welcome to post direct links to your videos......... Deadfast 43 Posted April 22, 2009 Vimeo doesn't allow gaming videos.
Zipper5 74 Posted April 22, 2009 Indeed. They actually removed ALL of my ArmA videos on there without giving me any way to access them. The irony is I uploaded them before that rule was put into place. The fact I don't use Vimeo anymore speaks for itself.

heklos 0 Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) Placebo, I am fairly happy that BIS choose the Vbulletin system. (Caveat: I am biased as I run my own :)) In fact I was going to email you a few months back and suggest it because of its ease of importing other boards data. Did that search thing and saw that it was already said. So third vote on the change the forum mod yellow asterisk thing. Its messing with my internet feng shui. Edited April 22, 2009 by heklos did search and found it already mentioned. should have done it before. will next time.
Placebo 29 Posted April 22, 2009 I think I answered a couple of times now about our gold stars if you search this thread :)
bravo 6 0 Posted April 22, 2009 Is it possible to have a subtitle while creating a thread like we used to have in the old forum? Its very useful..
Placebo 29 Posted April 22, 2009 Hmm I'm not sure if it's a VB thing?
bravo 6 0 Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) what VB stands for? edit: ok Placebo, too bad. Feel free to delete these posts if its appropriated. Edited April 22, 2009 by bravo

rok 0 Posted April 26, 2009 The forum search doesn't seem to work for words with three letters. For three letter search I only get: Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. For two letter search I get: Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search. Three letter search could be useful. For example lots of mod names are three letters. :)

Placebo 29 Posted April 27, 2009 Yes that's covered earlier in the thread, 3 letter searching is implemented but requires some downtime to activate, which we're holding off until we have more things that need maintenance.
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted April 27, 2009 Some members names stretch over and uglies the board, IMO. This may have already been mentioned, ignore me if so.
Placebo 29 Posted April 27, 2009 I don't believe so, anyone in particular?
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted April 27, 2009 (edited) blackforest_rumbler is whom caught my attention. In this thread I notice CameronMcDonald is slightly wide also. They both post in it http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=70317&page=267 Maybe a small font change in members names would cure this? bedges 0 Posted April 28, 2009 The board titles in ARMA: ARMED ASSAULT / COMBAT OPERATIONS and OPERATION FLASHPOINT, are still displaying "!Forum description". Additionally there seems to be something weird going on with the MODEL EDITING (OXYGEN) forum section, as it's not collapsible like the rest. Otherwise looking good, kudos to all concerned. echo1 0 Posted April 29, 2009 Is it just me (tested it on two seperate browsers) or has the formatting on this thread gone haywire? Link Just thought I'd post it in case it's a sign of some wider-affecting bug or another.
