Sorry, why in the version 1.10 the grass has disappeared? Is there a way to restore it?

I´m talking about the diference between arma terrain textures and ACEIP default textures:

This ss was taken in Malden of A.C.E CWC Island Pack (beta 3) with Arma texture and looks great:

This one belongs to Havelte with ACEIP v1.10 default terrain texture:

That means is better to use Arma textures than ACEIP textures? or I'm making some kind of mistake using this addon?

ACEIP offers a big set of different textures. You can check them

in the ACE:IslandPack:Texture_Settings_Gallery.

You can select the used texture per island this way:

ACE:IslandPack#HowTo_switch_ground_textures

You probably prefer you first example as it has clutter (grass).

However there will be an update out very soon to activate

clutter for any texture.

Via (the updated) PROPER World you can even tweak the

clutter settings yourself again.  smile_o.gif

is there any chance to activate grass on these island? I understand that we have to wait for an update of proper world mod. but is there maybe a workaround today available?

Q, I already knew how to switch the ground textures.

If we look the texture gallery we found the texture "WOOD1" with grass, but if I use this ground texture on my machine I can´t see grass clutters.

ACEIP v1.11 will be out in a few days to sort the missing clutter.

If possible, we intend to update them to A2.

We will update the Roadmap with all planned features shortly. smile_o.gif

HDT = (OFP) high terrain detail version

HDT != normal island version

Both need arma graphic setting: very high terrain detail.

(OFP) high terrain detail = bumpy terrain

best to check ingame or the screens wink_o.gif

Some stones and bushes are floating in the air on 73Eastings.

Got CTD with Avignon no matter which viewdistance and terrain setting is on very high.

some arma.rpt entries:

"No more slot to add connection at..."

"Strange convex component..."

"Obsolete palette format textures"

"Obsolete P8 format"

Btw could you delete some of those big (bright) rocks they look imho too strange.

Q, Ivtiliac crashes a few seconds after It´s loaded.

About HDT, I did follow your instructions on distance and terrain settings but I can't even load any HDT Island.

I have 2 GeForce 7950GT running on SLI and 2GB RAM.

I think not many are aware that thanks to their kind agreement

we converted a couple of popular object packs as part of ACEIP.

Technically these are already standalone, yet we intend to prepare

some documentation to inform people about each pack and simplify

the process.

The objects even look quite good in A1, yet if you are willing to

help out optimizing or improve their textures, feel free to contact us!

Thanks for the note. First two a model related I believe, the

later two texture related. Maybe we can solve the later at least.

Unfortunately cell size below 10 seems to low for most systems.

Q, I'm talking about Ivtiliac non HDT version.

In fact, I can´t run both versions of the island on the editor.

Anyway, every time I open the editor and test this addon I found this better. I've been taking a lots of screenshots in order to show the pack to my community and discover all the new objects.

About this, a lot of this objects, like factorys, nuclear centrals and port containers can't be destroyed. Do you plan to replace them with destructible ones?

I have the same question about stairs that can't be used.

i am currently playing the resistance campaign via OAC with this islands - fantastic atmosphere. i cant wait for the proper world update and arma wood replacements. notworthy.gif

Unlikely. Requires modeling skills that we do not have.

Not sure if it's worth the effort honestly.

Additional note for v1.11 update:

As the updater was updated itself you need to close the dos

window by clicking on the top right window x and confirm to

repeat to write the sixarma-updater.exe file.

Delete the 'ACEIP_v1.11update.exe' yourself once the updated

is completed.

Thanks for update!

On 73eastings there are floating "grass/stone clutter cells" at 149/088 close to "hill 249" south of Medina ridge. Much better you can see those at 163-164/033 or 156/036-037 "hill 281".

Would say delete those "clutter cells" and change ground texture (+tex in editor) to better looking Arma_Pisekplatz.

arma.rpt for 73easting:

No more slot to add connection at 011999 (1178.3,-32.5)

Strange convex component ob73east\lobo_73_rocks1.p3d in component05:geometryView <- many of them

Obsolette P8 format

Avignon is still crashing to desktop after placing a unit in editor and hitting preview. All at highest settings and tried with different viewdistances.

Some other texture suggestions:

Anilym with Arma_Trava

Atlantis Gold with Arma_Travajih

Imo its look better if you see some improved textures (with grass) instead of old OFP ones. Take time for a look/trip on islands and maps.  smile_o.gif

The 1.11 update installation from update tool doesn't work for me.

After download and disclaimer, it says that version.txt cannot be found, and installation then aborts.

here too. after starting the updater tool, the box closed immediately without any information. yoma dont work because of the # problem.

can anyone help? or provide the updated files via download server?

YTAS server is not yet v1.11.

We will fix the # issue in v1.12. In general you can deselect all

the folders with # though.

.\arma\@aceip\Docs\version.txt

It should only contain this text:

1.10

Try to create it again by hand.

Try to launch the exe via dos command line:

* Start

* Run

* cmd

* cd /d D:\Games\arma\@aceip\Docs (use your path here)

* sixarma-updater.exe

Please get us the error messages. Would be very useful for us.

Hope those rocks are not those big bright rocks that are on some islands/maps look bit strange/ doesnt fit into terrain.
