PC Gamer - "Day Z + Arma 3 interview — on Left 4 Dead, Skyrim, player emotion, and in-game disease"

http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/06/22/day-z-arma-3-interview-on-left-4-dead-skyrim-player-emotion-and-in-game-disease/

This was originally posted in the ArmA 3 press coverage thread. However, since this is also relevant to ArmA 2 I find it reasonable to put it in record here as well.

For the Non-German speakers I used OCR then google translate:

HORROR. Where, in addition to human zombies Mitspieier both opponents and Heifer, entstehtein emotional thrill of seinesgjeichen investigated.

Again and again, developing so-called fans modifications (mods) to their favorite mirror-len, to their own basic skeleton of narrative stories-len. Usually these mods limited to a small group of users to remain, as yet, and they find a way to go out and enjoy great popularity. Sun hap-hen with the mod "DayZ" of the ego-shooter: based and defined as a single game goal pu-res survival "Arma 2 Combined Operations."

In "DayZ" each player enters the world on her own and GE makes no equip ment. As of now it says about life, because who bites into the grass, you have to start a new character and lose all the items. VER is stuck only does not help much, since ir some point begins to growl even the stomach and the players will inevitably send in search of food.

That would be no problem, if not everywhere as zombie hordes in search of new would-op fem. Really hot but it is only the emergence of human players, because they are not necessarily Verbiindete, but also may serve as bandits

careless hiker can make a short head to get her belongings. The same is incidentally also for (temporarily) Verbiindete ...

"DayZ" is free, NTU is still in alpha stage. Minor errors and not always intuitive¬

ve control well testify. Due to the large community of interest but also has an independently-going version is also planned.

Dunno if it counts as press coverage or if it's new but...

Everything you always wanted to know about #Arma2 #PMC (but were afraid to ask) http://moricky.com/blog/2012/07/private-military-creators/ …

http://moricky.com/blog/2012/07/private-military-creators/

It's a blog entry about the PMC DLC and its campaign, some interesting little facts and points in there.

I fail to see what "comics" have to do with press coverage. Both posts deleted.

Lets stick to interesting articles/news coverage about the game.

PC Gamer - "The best shooters of all time"

http://www.pcgamer.com/gallery/the-best-shooters-of-all-time

A platform for teamwork wrapped around high-fidelity simulation. Arma has the utmost respect for your ideas, and the self-authored war stories that arise from its open-ended systems and miles-wide sandbox are why we continue to evangelize it. It’s one of the few games that actually lives up to marketing itself as a shooter where you can approach a tactical problem in twelve different ways. Modders continue to be its lifeblood, building anything they can: comprehensive sound packs, huge islands, serial killer scenarios, medical systems, realistic wind modeling, Star Wars vehicles, advanced radio systems that simulate distortion over range, and at least one groundbreaking zombie survival sim.

Arma 2: Combined Operations makes 17th place. Congrats :)
