Installation:Unzip @31STWW2.zip to your ArmA installtion and create a launch icon using the mod folder method.

Usage:-mod=@31STWW2

Change log:

-All swastikas removed for our German friends so they can play.

VERY IMPORTANT Notes:

This is a BETA release.  The idea here and intention is to receive relative constructive input/feedback from the community.  Please use the appropriate forum links for feedback.  All future WIP will be posted in teh WIP thread, feedback and subsequent releases, patches and updates will be posted in this thread.

-Infantry use Vilas weapons

-Many custon sounds included for vehicles and weapons, sound mods are not compatible

-***PLEASE REMOVE ANY OLDER VILAS PACKS AS THEY HAVE BEEN HEAVILY MODIFIED!!!

-*** I will not include the "ww2warfare" mission until after its final testing on the 31stwc.com server today- so look for an additional download to be posted later.

-Some vehicles feature ramps or hinged doors that open, look for your action menus.

-Most aircraft do not contain cockpits - They will be added in future releases.

-Two tanks have funny road wheel axis's - That will be adjust later.

-***Keep your speakers turned down initially, especially if you are using SUB's as this mod contains some very loud audible sound, it may rumble your house or neighbors!

WW2 WARFARE: FEATURES

-KNOWN ISSUES: AIRPORTS do not work correct- Airports removed - ALL AIRCRAFT ADDED TO THE AIRCRAFT FACTORY - so you can spawn them from there.  The airports will only function as a point of return for autopilot landings or AI disembarkment.

-Resistance forces are Russian and use allied equipment(Willy Jeep, M26 Pershing, M4A4 Sherman.

-LCM(3) landing craft can be spawned from the AIRCRAFT FACTORY, so commanders place them carefully near water.  Don't try to attempt to spawn aircraft in water or vice-versa  This does not currently function properly as spawning in water does not work.

-THIS MAP IS HUGE!  BE SMART AND TAKE A PAIR OF FUEL TRUCKS WITH YOU TO PIGGY BACK!

-YOU CAN MOVE YOUR MHQ via air.  Ju52's and C47's can move the mhq once it's "picked-up" by a glider.  It will place your vehicle 50 meters behind and 8 meters up in the air - May look ackward.

-AI forces skill set at max.

-Capture all towns or destroy enemy base.

-Your own AI can be REMOVED from your control! YES! thats right! Remove through the "Team Status" action menu. Put a end to those miserable AI you own that get stuck, or Remove the "Where are you" relentless AI.  Team status dialog modified to fit Normandy map parameters.

-TEAM STATUS allows you to join other join other groups and manage AI if you become a leader in that group.  In WW2Warfare commands from the chosen commander whether AI or a PVP overide your orders if you join another AI controlled or player controlled team.  Team status allows you to view status of others including damage, health, ammo, etc.

-You can join other units and become part of their mission at any time through the "Team Status" action menu.

-Supply & Salvage trucks have fuel, ammo, & repair functions so they also have unlimited fuel for their own use so they shouldn't get stuck so often.

-Opel blitz & WC51 dodge can repair, refuel and provide ammo and spawn various weapons when you are close to them.

-Kublewagon and Jeep funtion as MHQ respectively and despawn randomly under AI command, this creates an unpredictable atmosphere where base defense is mandatory.  Also MHQ's are hard to spot for enemy and friendlys =)

-AIRCRAFT - Some can hitch and tow gliders, Gliders can hitch(pickup) HQ vehicles and cars  - Hitching of gliders is somewhat buggy, gliders will appear above ground when they are hitched.

-TRUCKS - They can tow (pickup) static weapons, other cars & moveable guns and tow them.

-LANDING CRAFT - Can be spawned via light vehicle spawn placed by water, so be careful on how you place it ( currently doesnt work...working on it).

-LANDING CRAFT - Can hitch (pickup) tanks, cars, HQ, static & moveable weapons.

-Bases commanders get more initial funds.

-Increased construction distance to spread base apart and prevent one team from winning the game with a solo bomber.

-ARTILLERY - FLAK36 for the Axis, M101 Howitzer for the Allies - 1,000 m min./  14,000 m max distance.

-Other known issues.  When purchasing Equipment or AI, the words "repair", "refuel","ammo", etc appear in que although purchases do work.

Recommended WW2WARFARE mission Server settings(this is what the 31st uses):

-Intel Xeon Quad Core 2.8Ghz equivilant or higher

-Windows 2008 Server or equivilant

-4 Gigs or system ram

Mod installed on one of our servers but warfare map wont show up!

Anyone any ideas?

Warfare map comes in mod,tried leaving it there and moving it to MP folder!  huh.gif

Great work guys! Glad you finally got "there". A massive mod with alot of moving parts is hard to coordinate..... you fellas are the best!

Noticed a gfx glitch when flying over London, Has anyone else had this one?

Nice job now some feedback:

- New U.S. infantry units are top class thumbs-up.gif

- Vehicles are far from finished - I would call many of them place holders

- Sounds are really bad here and there

I got several better quality vehicles fully setup and ready to go (Tiger, Panther, M10 Wolverine, Shermans, Stugs, T-34, Hetzer, Panzer 38 etc.)

A very mixed up bag of stuff atm.

feedback:

infantry weapons have no or too little dispersion i think

Mg's are to low i think! bar, bren, mg42 . mg34 or so

are just old weapons

little bit more higher dispersion for all weapons and it is perfect

and some pics and texture errors

some weapon sounds not so good

Well It seems when I try to combine SLX and this mod, I get a error message about the optics of the M4 tanks or if I delete the tank, I get it for the Panzer.

Trying to use a C-47 on any map causes a crash to the desktop with an error message saying something about not being able to create a memory file. Why is this?

The C47 shouldn't cause issues especially when its loaded all by itself.  I would re-download the beta again and reinstall it.  I've had a few people with the same type of issues today and it resolved the problem.

Yes I think I mentioned that there were no missions included. I'm currently working on a ww2warfare mission that I'm running into a few problems with. As soon as I get it done, I will post a link for download.

In fact I get such error about "cannot create .... memory..." when I press F or G keys.
